DID NOT FINISH

dnf at 70%. Just did not care how it was going to end

Did I liked the story? Nop
Is this shit funny as f**k? Yeaaaaas
Ok maybe I’m too old to read (or in my case hear (thanks good for free)) this book. But I can’t understand that people read/hear this book unironically. It’s super cliched and cringey haha
Grace is stupid as f**k and Jaxon super disagreeable.. I don’t like any of the characters but yeah I heard it in my night duty and this was entertaining
adventurous challenging dark emotional tense

I keep switching back and forth between if this was a four or five star read for me because I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a book so much while also hating the fuck out of the female main character. I maybe don’t hate her I just hate the way she acted and felt like she was a total pick me tbh. Still good tho

DID NOT FINISH: 35%

Normally I just power through audiobooks I’m not vibing with, but since this is a long ass series and there’s no way I’m continuing it I’ll just tap out now.

boring af!

crAZY to have to listen to an audiobook narrator say “af” so many times and it’s only 35% of the book

I had fun, but there were a lot of eye-roll moments. If you’re looking for a hit of that classic, slightly-cringe, high-school, fantasy, romance, this will do the job.

I was completely obsessed with this book - it gave me Twilight vibes, but edgier, funnier, and (IMO) more addictive. I loved everything about it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants paranormal romance, boarding school drama, and swoons danger all in one. I loved the Katmere Academy setting - slowly, gothic, full of secrets…total dark academia magic. The suspense and supernatural reveals kept me flying through the pages. Jaxon Vega- broody and mysterious, loved him in this first book! Grace seems like such an airhead but I gotta remember from her pov she’s stepping into a whole new world - not sitting on the couch reading a paranormal romance ready for all the supernatural creatures
