I didn't really understand Talia's motivation for most of what she did. She's kinda flipped her lid. I also have never really cared for Damien, and it makes it hard to be overly sad about his death.

4.5 stars. I enjoyed this one a lot more than the previous volume. It had a lot more of the bat gang and less of the Batman Inc characters. I loved how Alfred treated Damian, and how Bruce showed his love for his son. I actually got emotional at one part of the story, which is rare in a Batman story (since he's always so broody and emotionless). Talia Al-Ghul was fleshed out a lot more in this one too, she actually felt like the villain of the story. Overall a worthwhile read, even though it took a minute for the story to really take off.

More like a 3.5, I really enjoyed the arc but the extras at the end I found less interesting. Except the Bat Cow because.... Bat Cow

FUCK THIS. FUCK ALL THIS SHIT.

After the absolute EPICNESS of "Death of the Family," issue #18 of every single New 52 Batman series I was following is essentially ruined because I have to go and find this shit to see how one of the
SpoilerMAIN FUCKING CHARACTERS DIES?!

Don't usually like the Grant Morrison comics I've read. Not as grounded as most and I feel like they're hard to follow.
This one was really good though.
Even though I knew it would happen (and I knew he would be back anyway), Damian's death was still emotional and both of the big fights against Heretic were great.
