I am obsessed! An amazing retelling of the Little Mermaid (the real one, not Disney) and I loved the touch of other mythical creatures like vampires and the undead. Great smut as well, and the dialogue between the FMC and MMC was perfection.
I really loved the book. The different idea of a different little mermaid re-telling . The plot was really interesting. I loved the changes to the story and the relation ship changes between The pirate and the mermaid were really well played out. The only one thing i would say is sometimes the language can be a touch vulgar but it's to be expected when your dealing with spicy monsters.

I liked it. There was a moment in the book when the angst between the MCs was really grating, though Iām not sure what specifically was getting on my nerves. It also wasnāt satisfying when it was resolved, though I think thatās a matter of my own opinion. I just read a book that had similar MC angst and I couldnāt keep reading that one even though it was really good in the beginning (nectar of the wicked I think). Once this book got past that part, the MCs relationship didnāt bother me anymore. Something else I didnāt like about this book was that the internal dialogue seemed unnecessarily lengthy.
The spice suited my tastes which is nice and I liked the mermaid aspect. Iām surprised there isnāt more books in this series, at least none that Iāve been able to find. This is one instance where I actually want to read about more characters in this world.
