This Chinese webnovel was astonishingly entertaining and engrossing, I almost stayed up all night to finish ten chapters - as this is still not officially translated, I had to read a fanmade translation on my phone. Now I kinda wanna read other books with a chinese setting, or generally an eastern one so... luckily I already have a couple of titles :)
What I loved:
• the chinese setting
• the mythology, all of the details about how Heaven and the praying worked, etc.
• the characters╰(*°▽°*)╯
• the alternating between past and present, between angst (a lot of it) and fluff
• the slow-burn romance!!! T____T It was so fucking cute
• the fact that almost everyone has a complex backstory and personality
What I didn't love:
• it's just a little non-spoilery observation, but it seemed to me that the Wind Master arc was too rushed, and it left a couple things unresolved - still, it didn't take away from my whole reading experience
