This was a short read, but gripping nonetheless. It is a narrative of a British captain and his experience in the deep of Africa during colonization. Pretty intense, and sometimes confusing, it is an important lesson about the depths of people's hearts.

**uni read - lit in context**
A university read that I honestly didn’t really understand until I read a summary of what the book was about. Despite this, the way it was written is intense and is an incredible book, it’s just not one that I will be inclined to read again.
