It's almost a month ago since I listened to this book, and that means that I honestly don't know for sure how many stars I would have given it right after listening. I do know though, that it was around the same level as the first book of this series, some things I liked more here, others less. I do always like people caring more about each other than they realize/want to admit, so that made me like them together. I really hated how dumb he was about letting people help him, even though he knew nothing, and I also felt like some things that they were afraid to say were kept way too long to themselves, while to me it felt like that didn't make sense anymore. (Although fear doesn't make sense so it might just be realistic) All in all, fine but not great?

This is quintisential Tessa Bailey. If you know what that means, go ahead and read this one, it's delightful. If you don't, here's what you can expect, swoon worthy man, cool woman with aspirations and spiky exterior happily ever after spicy romance. AND it's marriage of convenience. I was pretty instantly sold.
He is a Navy seal turned ameture wine maker. We don't really get into either of those things though. Most of this book is the two of them arguing....and doing other things. The banter is SOOO good and I found myself giggling a few times throughout! I really hated her family and loved watching him put himself on her side. This book is cliche in all the ways to start out--but I pretty much just liked it anyways.
I loved the wine maker idea, but didn't LOVE the execution--I really would have liked to see more of what it's like to run a winery mixed in with the banter and romance I will also add that it was tricky getting in to this book, but it was worth it to watch that Navy seal turn into a pile of mush madly in love.
**Thank you to Netgalley for an early copy to review!

This is one of those pallet cleansing Rom-Coms.Nap much laughter with a few tears and a whole lot of swooning all make it perfect. August and Natalie are my favorite in this duet. Thank you for giving us that Epilogue too. This book gave me so many feel goods and warm feelings.

Tessa Bailey’s books are always so sexually graphic, and no matter how many of her books I’ve read, I will never not be shocked by it.
This time though, I didn’t really like how dirty-minded August was. All the dirty thoughts that go through his head and filthy words that come out of his mouth make him sound like a neanderthal. I like my men the yearning types too, but he was a tad too dramatic that it made me cringe instead.
And his and Natalie’s acquaintance going further back than when the book started made me feel as though I was missing a huge chunk of the story, especially at the start when they still hated each other yet couldn’t deny how much they were attracted to each other. There were way too many sex scenes too, it always seems as though the author plans to write all the different types of sex in one book, which is a lot overkill to me.
