This was the perfect ending to the series. Very well done

Love these books...classic as far as young adult reads go.
I liked that this book is about young adults, but I always felt like the style of writing was very adult. Not that it was vulgar or anything, but it just didn't try to simplify things or emotions.

I read this when I was in high school and found it difficult to pay attention to. I found myself reading as quickly as possible to get through it so I wouldn't have to live with the fact that I didn't finish a book.
This is one of few instances where I'd say the movie was better.

This is the book I felt like it started out slow but the more I kept reading I felt like I was watching the first sisterhood movie. I definitely love this book.

Me? Actually prioritizing books that have been sitting on my shelves for years? What a concept!
This book follows four girls, Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget who are best friends spending the summer apart for the first time. They discover there is a magical pair of pants that fits all the girls despite them having different body sizes so they come up with a plan to share the pants over the summer.
This is just fun. I see why this was so popular back in the day. I never saw the movie growing up so I didn’t have any nostalgia attachment to it but it still is a book that feels nostalgic.
All the girls are entertaining to read about and I enjoyed their stories and their character journeys. If I had to choose a favourite I’d probably say Carmen. It’s also nice that not every girls story focused on a romance. Most didn’t actually which is not something you see every day.
I liked that this book had emotional plot points without ever feeling like it was too sad. It had this lighthearted tone throughout but you could still feel for the characters when they were sad or going through hard things. They would be a little idiotic as teens can be and that made them feel like real people.
I enjoyed the character growth throughout the story and watching each girl learn more about themselves. It’s really just a feel good coming of age story. I still think it’s a fun read 20+ years later so if you’re in the mood for a throwback, I would recommend it!

"Sometimes you tell yourself the things you need to hear."
This wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I did the movie. I liked how realistic the main characters were, and I even teared up during certain scenes, but overall there just wasn't much for me. I had considered possibly continuing the series, until I heard how bad they get, so I definitely won't be reading those lolol.
