This seems so juvenile, but I actually loved this book. Two out of the four girls' stories made me cry. Ridiculous. LOL. :) I would have loved reading this as a teen too.
This is a light, fun and easy read. Brashares makes the reader feel transported back into early teen age life...the girls' struggles, secrets and fun times come alive. I'm looking foward to reading further in the series reading of the girls' growth not only in life but in their friendships with each other.
Just a classic YA fiction. I’ll always love this book.
"At breakfast, Bridget was thinking about sex. She was a virgin, as were her best friends. She'd gone out with a lot of different guys, usually within a larger pack of kids. She'd gone further than kissing with a couple of them, but not very much further. She'd been driven more by curiosity than by physical yearning."

Reread this book in just a few hours. It's fun to get through the first few pages of something you read as a teen and think "oh, yeah, this is why I am the way I am."

I really liked this book..I was hesitant about the movie but it was awesome. I cried like 4 times.
This was of course, cute. It was honestly probably more of a three star on the reread. However, I want to leave my initial rating intact. I was closer in age to the target audience when I originally rated this book. I still enjoyed the story and recognize that I probably didn't enjoy it as much because I am a little older. This is a cute book about friendship, growing up, loss, love, and forgiveness. I am definitely going to read the rest of the series. Finally.
Four inseparable friends are separated for the summer. To keep in touch, they share a pair of jeans that magically fits all four girls of varied body type. I was surprised I liked it so much. The four characters were well-developed, and I looked forward to each of their stories.
