A Whole New World

The first few chapters were basically straight from the movie, like some other reviews state. Not great and I was thinking about stopping but I knew that it would have to deviate sooner or later for the “twisted tale”. It did and things got a lot better and more interesting. The writing was still not my favorite and I don’t think I’ll read any more of this series, but the plot was very different once it got there. It stayed very different and didn’t go back to the movie, which was a pleasant surprise!

To say A Whole New World was disappointing would be an understatement. Honestly this book seemed to exciting and the blurb was so interesting I thought the book would be that was also. Not so much. The book is almost exactly the same as the movie. So if you feel like reading Aladdin then this is the book for you. There are some twists but not enough to matter in my opinion.

I feel bad since I was hoping for something exciting, but this book was just a ‘no’ for me. It dragged a whole bunch and the characters were just not interesting enough to keep me entertained.

Really Great adaptation of Aladdin. Thoroughly enjoyed this read.

A decent read. Aladdin was never my favorite Disney story growing up, but I enjoyed the “what if?” idea behind this storyline. I liked that Jasmine had more of a role than your stereotypical damsel in distress.

While this is classified as a young adult novel, I did find some of the writing to give more of a juvenile feel. In my opinion, the ending was just ok.

Very much enjoyed this, it was very suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. However I didn't much like the ending like it's just not what I expected and through me off. Not in a super bad way just kind felt like it was such a build up then the end didn't complete the climax
