BRUTAL. THAT ENDING WAS BRUTAL.
OMG.
I NEED THE NEXT BOOK LIKE NOW.
AHHHHH.
Quick mini review before I go off to grab the next book:
Writing style was kind of bland. Emmy was kind of annoying in the beginning and I felt like she made kind of stupid decisions that seriously annoyed me. Cameron was pretty chill. He's just basically a mobster and he wasn't necessarily brutal, which I liked. Rocco was adorabes and his ending kills me. Everyone else was pretty cool. The romantic relationship between the two main character makes sense for the most part once you find out the kind of one sided history behind it, although Emmy's feelings felt like they came out of no where and for no reason.
I was pretty engaged for the most part, although because I felt the writing was pretty bland (for me it was a telling vs. showing issue) and I got bored a couple of times.
But that was a hell of a cliffhanger and I'm literally about to go buy the next book on my kindle which is like more than 7 bucks and I've never spent that much on an e-book EVER so that should tell you how terrible the cliffhanger is.
Update: I have decided to not get the next book because I read reviews and kind of spoiled myself for what was going to happen and I'm not that interested in the plot for the second book. Maybe I'll just skip it entirely and read the third one when it comes out. Maybe I'll pick it up another time. Who knows?

I'm torn.
When I read the summary I thought to myself, well look what we got here, finally something good.
Now, it's not that I didn't like the book, it was just that at times it was a little... too much?
Emmy is unbelievably naive despite the fact that she has dealt with a lot of stuff in her life - a college girl that has no idea what an ipod is, really? REALLY?
I don't know, maybe [b:Sempre|13111733|Sempre (Forever, #1)|J.M. Darhower|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1340797919s/13111733.jpg|18285292] ruined me for every other mafia book but I expected this one to be at lease somewhat more realistic.
Emmy's naivety and Cameron's VERY young age to be a mafia boss kinda messed it up a bit but overall it was actually pretty decent, more so than any other mafia book I have seen out there.

Alright, now that I have stopped crying my eyes out I believe I can finally put into words how I felt about this book.
Crow's Row was a slow start for me. I had a hard time staying interested in it for the first few chapters. That is, until our heroine meets Cameron and then all bets are off.
Oh, how I just wanted them to be together, I mean, is it really so much to ask for? Their story was endlessly frustrating, so much so I wanted to dive into the story and shake them both until they realized they were going to give me an ulcer at the tender age of twenty. Grr, they drove me crazy.
Half way through I was sure I was going to break my eReader from holding it so tightly and that is when my heart snapped for the first -but oh no, not the last- time. And then, it was just a roller coaster of emotions for me.
I loved it, I hated it. I wanted them to be together, they were better off without each other. And in that, I believe is works of a truly amazing book. When an author can drag out emotions from you with only words. That's when you know you have something in your hands.
In the end, I was screaming at the screen. I mean, why, oh why would she do this to me? My heart broke and I was left with the messy pieces staring at the ending of the book.
Oh, God, my aching heart.

All I can say seriously about this book was that, it lacked that something something for me. you know..sure it was nicely written and the story had promise but then, i needed that extra spice and it just was not here..nevertheless, i read all of it so that' s saying that it is still a good book.
5/5 stars
This was so good! Damn Cameron is my baby. This was a slow burn romances and I live for this, nothing pisses me off more in a book when there is instalove. (unless it is done right) This was pretty good, I loved all the characters.
