This was fun. The dead guy was trash so it lent a very dramatic air to the story, it was like watching a soap opera. Everybody hated him and everybody was sleeping with each other and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I also really liked the characters' moments and the party. Great stuff!

I liked the book. Not one of my favorites in the series but had a couple of favorite moments in the series.
1) Peabody getting her magic coat.
2) Roarke getting his magic coat & Eve being able to surprise him.
3) The sign in homicide bullpen.

I liked the end twist. The setting was nice, and I especially love the cozy factor around the Christmas party.

I liked this one.

The dead Trainer is a jerk and there are a lot of potential suspects.

I liked the Christmas party. Its always interesting to see Eve deal with the friends and people stuff. Plus the reappearance of people from other books is fun.

I liked all the parts where Eve wasn't working the case. I liked her humanity peeking through when she was buying gifts and hosting a party. I enjoyed that they were finding a killer of a rapist. It makes you think how you would react in the same situation. Not all victims are good people.

Basic detective pulp to keep my mind simply occupied. It's not bad, it's comfortably formulaic and the dialogue isn't idiotic. This copy ended up at my brother's house after my niece picked it out by literally chewing on it at the bookstore.
