I read this book in under one day! That's amazing for me. Usually I don't read as much but I was really feeling the book. First of all, I've watch the movie but that didn't deterred me from enjoying the novel (although in my perspective - the movie is better due to visuals and the all mother thingy).
This was the first book I've read of my Suntup collection and no matter what people say, reading a paperback, with illustrations and lettered feels different and for the better. I can understand people wanting to have ebook to space limitation but there is no comparison of reading a paper book and ebook and if you feel like there isn't I would say you are wrong :)
I'm kidding. You do you and I do I.
In this novel we follow the investigation of the disapparence of a young woman on her way to her bethroned with a bunch of stolen money. So basically Mary stole some money and was getting to her lover to pay his debts and so they could settle , marry and have kids. This is a woman of 28/29 who thinks her best years are behind her and don't want to wait until he pays his debts.
She arrives at Bates Motel on her way to her lover and after some discussion with Norman Bates she is killed. Then enters her sister, lover and investigator as they try to understand where she disappeared\escaped. I know that this book has been around since 1959 and the movie is almost as old but I am not going to tell you what's happened.
I really enjoy Bates, much more than the in the movie because we see a lot of his thoughts and problems with all of the drama. I think the flow of the story is quite fast and you really get into the psychological drama of Bates. The ending is a bit rushed in my opinion and here the movie really shined (besides the showering scene) whereas the remaining things are better on the book. I then discovered that there is a Psycho 2 and even a 3 (I don't know if I will get them).
Overall my experience was pretty good, the images in the suntup edition by Gregg Kreutz are amazing and really enhance my overall experience. The book feels awesome, I Think it was my best experience I had reading a book (touch wise). I'm going to rate this book 94/100 and I Would advise anyone to read it , mainly to people who didn't watch the movie (and series)

Донякъде още в началото усетих как ще се развият нещата, но се оказах също и приятно изненадан. Въпреки, че беше доста кратичък "роман", успя да развие героите си по много успешен начин. Хареса ми развръзката и кулминацията.

This is a classic that lives up to the hype. I definitely remember the premise from the Alfred Hitchcock movie, but didn't expect some things to happen as soon as they did. I remember thinking, ok, but what's next? But the atmosphere was definitely chilling, the characters were described very well and I'm excited to continue the series.
