This was a cute read. It’s focused on Eve who is the coach’s daughter and Cole who is her brothers best friend and the new assistant coach. It was a nice story but was missing something - I struggled to finish the book. I enjoyed the characters, Eve especially was refreshing and I liked how patient Cole was and how they navigated the different situations .

• I enjoyed both the FMC and MMC.  They were fun and cute.  I loved their banter and playfulness.  I loved how patient and understanding Cole was.  Eve was fun.  I loved her positive attitude with no bad days.  Even if she felt overwhelmed.

• references to him being the funny irresponsible guy but nothing was every said or shown to illustrate this.

• Blurb is misleading.  There was only one dating app. They matched the first time so of course each time you re-sign up you will continue to match.

• too slow.  The "role playing"/sexting part was too long.  Six months was a bit unbelievable.  Then another six months of hiding and the family finding out.  Too long.  Which also had it so the pacing was inconsistent.  Especially towards the end with the all the time jumps.

Cole has moved home to Heston Lake after spending some time doing hockey camps and various programs all on a short term basis. Now he is an assistant coach. Eve has been taking her time to decide what she wants to do long term. Her ADHD tends to get in her way as she bounces from plan to plan. With Cole home her high school crush on her brother’s best friend is back in full force. And now her dad is his boss. Cole and Eve both try online dating and they match way too many times. Finally Eve agrees they can have a relationship online and in secret. It turns into so much more. Cole and Eve continue their relationship in secrecy even after they move it beyond the dating app.

I loved this book. It was absolutely perfect. Cole loves Eve so much and so well. He calms her ADHD mind when she starts to spiral and is constantly doing things to show his love by taking care of her. I loved how creative Eve and Cole were in the beginning to find ways time for spice.

STELLAR and I mean AMAZEBALLS ADHD representation! Such a positive experience reading this book. On top of that there was decent amount of hockey portrayed (so many hockey books just mention they play and nothing else). I struggled with the initial caveat of how they could be together but I still enjoyed it all!
