An enjoyable read that was perhaps just a little too long.
I liked how they matched on a dating app and there was obviously an attraction that they were both trying to ignore. The characters were likeable. Eve was a pretty good ADHD representation.
The dirty talk got a little repetitive and the length of time they hid their ‘forbidden’ romance was crazy long. But, overall I still enjoyed this read.

These guys are so darn cute

- for the love of me I cannot remember what happened in iced out at all
- but this is cute
- I can’t believe they did just online sexing for MONTHS despite seeing each other in person wtffff
- I do think it dragged on unnecessarily
- a whole year they don’t tell anyone. And instead of telling the dad and brother, they were caught in compromising position?? AFTER A YEAR
emotional funny hopeful lighthearted fast-paced

Spice level: 4/5
Trigger warnings: there's some discussion about past comments about weight.

I loved this book. I think it's my favorite of out of the Heston U related books so far. Eve was a highly relatable. Cole was equally spicy and sweet. You really get to feel and see these characters fall in love. I loved getting to see all of the players we've met from the other books related to this pop up. I really didn't want it to end. And I loved all the little crafts Eve made throughout the story. As a fellow crafty person, I totally related to her on that level. Also find myself wanting to remake some of the things she made.

I cannot wait for the next book in this universe!

If you like hockey, spice, and good romance, this is the book for you!

This book was so adorable. I loved that it was a hockey romance but it was a coach. It felt different from reading a hockey romance with a player. I loved the spin.

This book follows Eve, a small town girl who is having post graduate woes, and Cole, her brother’s best friend and dad’s newest assistant coach. Eve has had a crush on Cole for years, but assumed he never noticed her. After years of traveling and playing the field, Cole is ready to settle down in Heston Lake assisting the college hockey team. They both end up downloading a dating app and continuously matching. They finally give in to their feelings and have a secret texting relationship, but seeing each other every day makes that develop into more.

I related to Eve so much, sometimes I also feel like my tendencies can annoy people and be too much. It’s a hard realization and makes you really self conscious. Cole was perfect for her, always knowing what to say and what to do. I also started a business in Nov so it was cool to relate to her on that level as well.

The secret texting and voice memos were 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Text relationships are such an underrated microtope.

Eve and Cole's story has all the tropes to keep you warm this winter (or in the southern hemisphere, help heat you up this summer); Coach’s Daughter & Assistant Coach, Hockey Romance, Secret Relationship, Brother’s Best Friend, She falls first, he falls harder, Mental health rep & ADHD heroine.

Eve is a crafty ADHD girl, Cole is an ex-hockey player being an assistant coach to her dad. After a disaster of a break up, Eve run into her childhood crush and brother's best friend. When both of them decide to download a dating app, they match.... multiple times... it might be the universe, it could be nothing. So what's the harm in talking on the app... right?

We learn that Coach Kincaid sings praise (and not only to the players on the ice if you get me
