A really good feel good story for a curvy FMC and a golden retriever MMC.
I was a tad bit annoyed that Evie's family wasn't really mentioned/brought up after the very beginning of the book and we didn't get any idea of their reaction to the events.
I LOVE the founds family of the Indy Speed and the WAGs from across the books give me all the feels for how open and accepting they really are and I love that aspect.
I want a Saint book, there is so much more to that story.
I can't wait for the next book!

I read this as an arc - i am so grateful to be on sienna’s arc team and for the opportunity to watch this universe continue to grow. This story was so devastating, so sweet and just beautiful. i love our golden retriever boy (ginger retriever) jenner, especially.
getting to see maddox and bristol was a plus because they are my favorite couple in the siena trap world.
this particular book was good and i enjoyed it, but i didn’t have the same intense vigor for it that i did bunny or bagging - and that’s okay! this one will certainly hit for some and not for others. the topics in the plot are difficult to read about, so it was a little bit harder to digest i think. but it was very real in that way, in it’s subject matter.
this one was definitely less spicy than the others, which is understandable, but i did miss that. though, hot daddy jenner was... hawt af.
i think my biggest thing was that i had a hard time connecting with evie, which was a bummer because as a plus sized woman who struggles with self-worth and anxiety (who happens to also have a ginger husband) i wanted to relate to her. she came off as judgmental at times, and unappreciative at others. again, some of that was very realistic to real life - i won’t argue that, she was just different in that way!
all in all, i very much enjoyed this and look forward to goose’s book, the man is a goofball so you already know he is gonna have a filthy mouth!

This was an emotional roller coaster of second chance love and found family. I really appreciated the plus size FMC and the body positivity that was reflected throughout the book. It’s really nice to see an author create relatable characters and situations!
Normally, when a book makes me feel all the feels, it’s an automatic 5 star, but I’m going with 4 stars because I felt some parts of the pregnancy trope just dragged on a tiny bit too much. Not to say I didn’t like it by any means, but I found myself wondering when we’d move on to the next “scene” several times.
Overall, this is a great continuation of the series, and I can’t wait to read the next one!

When their struggles with infertility drive a wedge between them, Evie runs away from Jenner. Four years after their divorce, she reappears in his life, putting on a perfect family image for a potential adoption agency in the hopes of becoming adoptive parents. Jenner is willing to go along with her scheme, but only if she agrees to his conditions. Their second marriage brings her back into the hockey fold, as Jenner is now team captain. Finding friends in the women of the players, being selected by a birth mother, and finally gaining a reason to live, Evie is on top of the world. But things come crashing down unexpectedly, and not even Jenner can bring her out of it. Desperate for their happy ending, Evie and Jenner continue to get challenged as their goals become realities, but is their second marriage stronger than their first?
Did not expect such an uphill battle for these two to get to their happily ever after. A lot of stories end with the couple falling in love, but this one deals with what happens afterwards. Years of struggling to start a family broke up Evie and Jenner, despite their love. Now they have a second chance, not ony at each other, but at their dreams for children, and life is again coming in swinging. I love the found family in sports romances, and this was no exception. If you're ready for a tough but rewarding happily ever after-after, this one's my choice.

This was such a beautiful yet emotional book I just didn’t want it to finish. Thank you for letting me read the arc yet again Siena did no wrong here and Jenner just was perfect

Jenner and Evie struggled for years with infertility (you learn this in the prologue, I’m not spoiling anything). Now four years later, Evie has a plan to make her dreams of a family come true. Yet she needs Jenner’a help. And he is more than willing to do about anything for the woman he has always loved.
I loved this story. Top to bottom. It hurt my heart the way both Jenner and Evie were hurting. There were moments that I knew would be predictable. But then there were twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. I loved getting to head back to Indy to see the team again, it makes my Hoosier roots so happy.
There is so much more I want to say, but I don’t want to spoil any of this for anyone. Just know it’s a beautiful love story with a man who will do anything and everything for his wife and a wife who wants to give her husband everything he has ever dreamed of.
*Infertility plays a heavy part in this storyline. Check with yourself and the CW if you need before reading.
Moderate: Infertility
So first lemme say Jenner is FREAKING GOALS for all men!
Secondly, as a woman who has dealt with so,e fertility/preg/delivery struggles I need to preface this book with READ YOUR TRIGGERS! I will not lie to you it took me so long to read this because I felt relived my own pain through Evie’s. The plot is there the relationship and side2 characters are there and the hockey is there but I will say at least for me the main focus of this book was pregnancy/ fertility/ delivery/ adoption issues or plot related sidelines. So if that is not your jam this book is NOT for you.
I freaking love Jenner though, he definitely has the “MY WIFE” vibes and definitely thinks evie hung the moon. He’s a fabulous hockey captain and I loved several moments of the season especially at the end featuring him, he’s a rockstar of a husband and the support he gives surpasses any I’ve seen before.
That brings me to my negatives ….and this will be a little spoiler-y so I will flag this review as such.
Hot take but I don’t like Evie. I know why she did what she did but that in no way makes it less wrong. Jenner I love you to pieces but you just openly accepting her nonsense after e years….NOPE! Not only that but you would think after 4 years girl would learn when given a second chance with one of the most supportive fictional boyfriends ever written that you would be over the lack of communication and miscommunication issues. Like that was soooooooo aggravating! I wont say more than that because I feel it would give too much away but yeah that took this book from a 4 star down to a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and because of my Evie dislike even though Jenner brought the heat to the soicy scenes I felt like Evie just kinda was there. So that took the spice from a 4 to a
