This book had me all in my feels! Evie and Jenner open the book trying to have a baby. Nothing is working and when Jenner tells Evie he can’t go through another failed round she freaks out and bolts. He’s heartbroken and didn’t mean he didn’t love her or want a family with her, he just couldn’t watch the love of his life suffer. Evie tries to move on but she still longs for a family and after another adoption agency turns her down because she single she does the u thinkable, she lies and says she’s still married to Jenner. I mean what could possibly go wrong? When she shows up at their old house, surprising Jenner as he’s about to leave for his friends wedding, Jenner is so shocked he goes along with her charade. Jenner agrees to go along with the lie if Evie agrees to marry him again. When they match with a sweet college student who’s expecting a little girl, they think everything is falling into place but their lives aren’t meant to be easy. They have to fight for everything. This book had me crying and laughing and even though Evie and Jenner take us on a wild ride, the HEA at the end is more than worth it!

📚Review📚 Frozen Heart Face-Off by Siena Trap
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I love @siena.trap.books so very excited I got this ARC to read.
Jenner and Evie, college sweethearts, who get married young and want to start a family. They keep trying but to no avail and the stress is too much, and Evie leaves.
Evie, however, finds her way back to Jenner 4 years later with a surprising motive.
This is such a beautiful story of love and hardship in conceiving, along with found family and friendships.
Very well written, check your triggers before reading, some of it was quite hard to read as it's very relatable and caused a lot of emotional distress.
Another great book from Siena, this one hits hard, but it is SO full of love.
I'm happy to say I have a new book boyfriend!!🥰😉 Mr Jenner Knight!

Please read trigger warnings before starting this book as it does deal with infertility.

Listen, I wanted to fall in love with this book but the circumstances for why his wife left him left a bad taste in my mouth and in my opinion she did not deserve the second chance she got.

This book follows Jenner and Evie (his ex-wife) as they struggle with infertility and how it affected  their marriage but individually as well. I could heavily relate to Evie and how she struggled with feeling ashamed that her body couldn't do the one thing it was made to do. As this is quite literally what my husband and I are struggling with. It's such an extremely hard thing to grapple with, wanting to build a family with the love of your life but knowing that you can't do it naturally. I understood how painful it was for her.

However, what I couldn't understand was why she just up and left and never came back. I understood that she needed space and with Jenner just throwing out that he couldn't do IVF anymore without any explanation - I can understand why her brain automatically went into "he's giving up on me" but she just shut him out. And the fact she came back, asking for his help in adoption bothered me. She just made it seem like it was her dream and her dream only, when Jenner also wanted children with her. She just came off as selfish while Jenner was more than patient and understanding with her.

It was always about her and her wants and needs, never about Jenner. And I understand, going through infertility is beyond frustrating and heartbreaking and you feel like you're failing and disappointing your husband because you cannot get pregnant. But that doesn't excuse the fact that she left, never spoke to him and then filed for divorce. Than four years later comes back with a crazy idea that she knew he couldn't say no to.

I loved Jenner and how patient, understanding and caring he was. He, in my opinion deserved better. I understand Evie was going through unbelievable heartbreak but it doesn't excuse her actions nor absolve her of them. There were aspect of this book that I did enjoy and I'm so happy they finally got to have their family but I just wish we wouldn't have glossed over the fact that she left.

Reading Frozen Heart Face-Off was a deeply emotional experience for me. The story centers around Evie and Jenner, a couple who married young, only to separate for four painful years despite still loving each other. When Evie comes back into Jenner's life, I expected to resent her for all the pain she caused him, but as the story unfolded, she won me over. Her struggles, her desperation—they were portrayed so honestly that I began to understand why she left. This raw vulnerability hit me hard and left me crying more than once.

Jenner, on the other hand, is simply unforgettable. His love and protectiveness toward Evie are the kind most people can only dream of.

And the birth scene... It was traumatic, brutal, intense, and, did I say, traumatic? That scene deserves that. Wow. It made me cry, made me scared for her; I don't even know the emotions I felt.

Beyond Evie and Jenner’s journey, it was also a joy to see familiar faces like Dakota, Bristol, and Maddox (Dakota will always be my favorite! 🥰 ). Their presence added warmth and continuity, highlighting the found family that has grown around these characters.

I strongly recommend checking the content warnings for this book, as it tackles some challenging topics such as infertility, hospitalization, postpartum depression, premature birth, birth trauma, and medical trauma.

I absolutely loved it!!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The second-chance romance trope can be hit or miss for me and this one was a total hit. Jenner and Evie were pulled apart four years ago due to a misunderstanding from a medical issue, and now Evie needs Jenner’s help. An ultimatum was given and as the situation unfolded, the two remembered just how much they loved each other. It was a wonderful story with an ending I had not expected. There’s a found family aspect that is sweet and wonderful, and I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next in the series!

Can I just say… Everyone’s dream of love and desire! Took a little extra time reading but Jenner and Evie are so in love it is inspiring. The lengths that Evie takes to make her “their” dreams come true are incredible! The passion they have is one to envy. It was a very heart felt journey as I am familiar with infertility struggles. But the hopes not lost just yet… This book will hold a special place in my heart and I’m thankful for the ARC opportunity and happily sharing my review. Please read the triggers before reading I will suggest but if you can read this, it’s a great read!

Evie and Jenner, where to start with them?! I say this every time but each book I fall more and more in love with the main couple. The beginning I felt so much for both of them as they struggled to get pregnant and couldn’t exactly figure out why Evie couldn’t conceive. As someone who took longer then “typical” and felt like EVERYONE around them was getting pregnant without even trying I related to them so much! After deciding that she didn’t want Jenner to deal with her grief she decided to divorce him. Fast forward a few years and Evie has joined an adoption group and feels judged because she doesn’t have a husband.

Coming up with the brilliant plan of providing their old marriage license, Evie sets forward a web of lies and stories in hopes of getting the a child like she’s always dreamed of!

When the social worker shows up at Jenner’s house, will he be able to keep up with the rouse and help Evie get the child she so desperately wants? Jenner is the perfect, devoted husband who is hopelessly in love with Evie. He’s sweet but with the flip of a switch is dominating and will have you panting and begging for more.
Full of so many emotions you will definitely have all the feels!

The wild ride that Evie and Jenner go on is written so beautifully and ends with the perfect HEA.

I had to take a break while reading because it hit so hard. If your triggers include infertility be aware this one might be harder for you.

What to expect:
- Second Chance
- Infertility
- Mental Health
- Divorce
- Emotions, Tears, Emotions
- Found Family

This one is a journey that includes a rollercoaster. Jenner and Evie are what you want them to be and you just can't help but root for them no matter what.
