First, please check the triggers before you read this. This was a beautiful story about second chances and family. I was really looking forward to this story after reading Maddox's story and let me tell you this did not disappoint. Jenner and Evie have my whole heart and I was so honored to be able to read this book prior to release. I can relate to Evie and the hardships she and Jenner had to go through. This was written with so much care. I can't wait to hopefully see them in future books. Thank you to Siena for allowing me to read this early. You have done it again.
Wow! I was floored by the powerful, emotional writing in this book -particularly when describing the pain and trauma surrounding Evie (FMC) and Jenner’s (MMC) infertility journey -it bought me to tears, especially at the first adoption meeting with a pregnant girl. I could easily sympathise with Evie’s particular feelings of hopelessness, grief, and depression. This book gives a very realistic perspectives on the ups and downs of trying for a baby, the trauma of infertility, and experiences of pregnancy & labour via all the characters (including the effect on the men -particularly Jenner’s mental health). I loved how protective Jenner is of Evie throughout the book and how caring and supportive he is of her. Siena Trap knows how to weave a brilliant story with interesting plots, strong characters, and wonderful spicy romance. This book doesn’t disappoint!

As someone who also married their college sweetheart and also faced very tough marital struggles, I can 100% both feel for Evie and Jenner and what they went through. Divorce isn’t an easy option and the struggle they faced before divorce was so hard. Seeing Evie and Jenner reconnect in this second chance romance was so emotional and raw. Make sure to check your triggers before reading this.

I am a sucker for a good hockey romance, and this one fits the bill perfectly! Also, if you are looking for a curvy, plus-sized FMC, this book will work for you, too. This book does deal with divorce, infertility, and adoption. Jenner is a giant cinnamon roll who has a dirty mouth when it comes to Evie. The spicy scenes are muy caliente! I love the found family aspect of the book. This was such a heartwarming story, I could give it anything lower than five stars.

At every moment that she reacted to something she tried to be better. She worked to be better. I don’t even have enough words. This was just incredible! I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Another amazing story! I will say I throughly enjoyed how this story touched on the trials and tribulations of wanting so desperately to become pregnant and carry your own child verse getting pregnant right away. Don’t get me wrong for some that’s how it works while others we struggle.
Anywho this is Jenner Knight Maddox’s best friend and Evangeline Knight’s story showcasing a majority of struggles that can happen within a marriage all while getting the hockey we enjoy.

Did I beg Siena for this one before I was even finished with A Bunny for the Bench Boss because Jenner is the sweetest cinnamon roll and I needed his story ASAP? Yes, yes I did. And, for some reason, she agreed, so I got to beta read this one, too. Let's see if I can remember all the amazing things about this one to mention...
First of all, no one can hurt Jenner Knight and if they do, they will catch these hands. I will fight for that man SO HARD, okay?! He is the sweetest angel baby of life and the second I found out someone hurt him, I was ready to throw down. I didn't, because when you find out who hurt him you'll understand why...but I was still ready to fight for a second. But, then I kept reading and it just kept getting better and better!
I will say, this one is going to be a tough ride for some people, so please, please, please read the trigger warnings before diving in. It's definitely worth the read, but it could be harder to get through for some. I won't go into too much here since there isn't even a blurb yet 😅 but know that it's real. That's one of the things I love so much about Siena's stories, though--despite the fact that they're fiction, they still deal with real-life problems, and they're realistic to how people would handle the same issues in real life.
So, just know, no one can criticize Jenner Knight or they'll have to deal with me (and probably his beloved German shepherd best friend, Maddox, too). Jenner is too good and pure for this world and I will not hear anything to the contrary, thank you. I loved this book and I love Siena and no one remind her I'm unworthy of her friendship so I can keep experiencing these amazing stories. 🤣

This book sure does pull on your heartstrings right from the beginning! So many emotions throughout the whole book!
We meet Jenner and Evie already married but unfortunately heartache and trauma pull them apart. After some 4 years apart Evie does make an appearance and Jenner is not letting her go this time. They have a heartbreaking love story but reading all the pieces come back together was worth the heartbreak.
I loved that Jenner is very clear on his feelings for Evie even after their time apart. Jenner is such a solid rock for Evie and when she just came back. These two have gone through so much together and apart just to end up with their happily ever after! They deserve their ending so much!
