This review is hard to write; it is a beautiful and emotional story. What makes it hard is not giving the important stuff away, as the storytelling is what makes it. The inner turmoil of both our characters is strong, and their love for each other has them making decisions.
But there is plenty of angst, drama, happiness and sadness, as Evie and Jenner navigate their journey. There are sensitive topics, please check before reading if you need to.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This lovely book was a hard one for me. It was perfect. But for someone who struggles with infertility in a world that doesn’t believe it is is my right to it as health care there were times when I put the book down and stepped a way for a bit. But I always came back why…because of hope. 😏 The hope of what will happen, the hope of what might happen and the Hope of what does happen.

Where do I even begin?? This was the most beautiful book I’ve read to date. I felt every emotion so strongly while reading this. Pure joy, rage, and absolute heartbreak. I’ve never bawled my eyes out so hard while reading a book. Everything about how this story was written was perfection. Jenner is the top tier book boyfriend and nothing will ever change my mind. This book was everything I never knew I needed. Siena Trap outdid herself with this one and I cannot wait for the next one. I have been (not so patiently) waiting for Goose’s story. He has been on of my favorite characters especially in this book and I can’t wait to learn more about him next!

Really sweet second chance marriage/ romance. This is also a sports/ hockey romance as well.
Evie is devastated after years of infertility but when her last chance to have a baby drives her back to her husband, they are thrown into the depths of reconnecting, finding their way in the midst of navigating adoption struggles and WAG drama and building the trust that was lost along the way. The MCs learned to communicate and really show up for each other. Jenner is an absolute teddy bear of a guy, he barely had any flaws at all and Evie is just so damaged that she has a hard time trusting his love. The last third of the book was fairly predictable but still a fun read.

I had high hopes for this book and I was not disappointed. Everything in this book was so well done including the Infertility struggle and mental health representation. I ate it up! I love me a cinnamon roll MMC with a dirty mouth. Plus it takes place in my home state! Highly recommend this book!
Frozen Heart Face-off begins with the following dedication:
"To all the women who have had to weather the storm."
I knew going in that this book could break me. I am one of the women who I believe Siena Trap dedicated this book to, and I know firsthand that not every version of this story gets the HEA. I want to commend her for writing this incredibly complex and painful story with grace and sensitivity. My husband and I share much of our infertility journey with Evie and Jenner, so emotionally, this book had me feeling very exposed at times. I credit the writing with being able to relate such heart wrenching character arcs without falling into melodrama.
Unexplained infertility is a dream crusher, and while I understand that some people may see Evie as a selfish character early on in the story, I understand too well that pain, and how much it can make you willing to sacrifice to get relief. Her journey throughout this book takes you from the lowest of lows, to the ultimate joy. It feels almost cathartic to see her and Jenner get their HEA, while at the same time that bittersweet ache still lingers for me.
Daddy Jenner is a whole lot of man. He's been all in for Evie since the moment he laid eyes on her in college, and even in their darkest moments, all he wants to do is comfort and protect her from pain. And while he has been incredibly successful on the ice, even through the tumultuous personal issues he's been dealing with, his light shines brightest for me in the spice. He's a protective, cinnamon roll of a man with a deliciously dirty side when it comes to Evie. The way this book had me crying, swooning, and blushing is a thing of beauty.
For all of us who love an emotional ride of a book that's not afraid to tackle the harsh realities of life and love, I highly recommend Frozen Heart Face-Off. I have read The Connecticut Comets series, as well as the previous book in the Indy Speed series, and while it definitely gives some richer background for all of the side characters in this book, I definitely think this book can be read as a stand alone story and still enjoyed.
Thank you to Siena Trap for the ARC opportunity to review this incredible book.

Siena Trap I love your work!! This book ripped me apart and glued me back together!!
Wow!! What a story; I knew Jenner would be my favorite; and he did not let me down. Evie is the love of his life; when their marriage fell apart 4 years ago he never gave up hope. When she appeared with a crazy idea to have a child he knew this was his chance to get her back. But will his love be enough?!
Sassy Evie is everything; a curvy FMC was a surprise and I am here for it!! This book had me crying and laughing and was so amazing!!
This story is based in infertility struggles - please check TW if needed. Your mental heath matters
