This was a super sweet book and it really showcases how true love doesn’t just end. But some mental health and non communication doesn’t help when things go awry.
It’s awesome that this book had a ton of good representation of curvy FMC, mental health and adoption! But I also found myself not really being able to get into this book as I would other sports romance. Maybe I’m just not in the mood for it right now and i did some skimming through chapters….

I loved every second of this story. Jenner and Evie are the epitome of second chances, pure strength and unconditional love. Jenner is practically a saint in my opinion. He was there for Evie every step of the way, despite the pain Evie put him through. He is the epitome of the perfect book husband and it is impossible not to fall in love with him with every word, and every action. Evie made several mistakes in how she managed the situations they were made to face, she had a difficult time but it showed her flaws and her humanity. She was by no means perfect and it was easy to empathize with her given the losses she endured. Their journey was hard, sad at times, happy on other times, and frustrating in some occasions but it was full of pure emotions, determination and genuine love. Siena did an amazing job bringing this story to life and showing the good, the bad, and the ugly in their relationship. I absolutely loved it!

Goodness gracious, Siena Trap is pulling out all the stops with my emotions. This book absolutely took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Evie and Jenner had a wonderful marriage but due to some unfortunate circumstances, she left him and they divorced. Now four years later, she's back and she needs his help and he's determined to not let her go again. Jenner... oh my heart. Sweet Jenner cannot say no to his girl. She is his one true love and he would literally move heaven and earth to help her. Evie was dealing with some serious struggles and internal battles. The way he was there for her and supported her will literally melt your heart. I felt so bad for her. She was breaking my heart in a million pieces. These two really went through the ringer but it was worth it for their happily ever after. I want to cry just thinking about it.

Wow! I think this has been the most intense book in these series that I’ve read. It was absolutely amazing and there was multiple times that I felt very seen through Siena’s writing. This completely opened my eyes to a whole new side of infertility struggles and things that seem normal in every day life but can be shattering for someone during a silent struggle. Now onto the characters.. Jenner and Evie have been the most relatable for me. Their relationship shows that things can be really hard in marriage and relationships but if you love someone, they are completely worth the struggle. I really love that Dakota was a big part of their whole process. It really shows a whole new side of her and makes me super excited for her cameos in the future

I SWEAR SIENA HAS A THING FOR MAKING ME CRY. Like she just knows what to write because it’ll 100% get me up in my feels and end up making me cry my damn eyes out. And it works. EVERY. FUCKING. TIME.
Since getting a glimpse into Jenner & Evie’s story from A Bunny for the Bench Boss, I was ROOTING for Jenner to have his second chance with Evie because MY GOD that man is a fucking SWEETHEART. And to uphold everything in your life just for that second chance? UGH! *heart eyes* I am obsessed and in love with Jenner I could barely breathe. Not to mention his love for Evie that never disintegrated, but grew even more just ENDED ME. He is everything.
I will admit I’m not the one for the pregnancy trope, and I don’t know how Siena does it, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. My heart went through ALL of the emotions going through the journey with Evie like a fucking rollercoaster, but the conclusion was well worth it. I broke for her through the struggles and beamed with her through the breakthroughs and I am so damn excited and happy for her, and for Jenner. But my god I think I would have fallen in love with her too, for her country girl roots and her sassiness that made me have a good cackle.
The amount of love that radiated through this entire book just made me feel all of the love and warmness that I ALWAYS get from reading one of Siena’s books. Every single one of her books I feel in some way heals a part of my little heart that has been hurt one too many times and I can never be more thankful for her writing. Experiencing that yet again, as well as seeing the love shared by all the characters, bonded by blood or just the immense friendship that is classed as family, just makes my heart grow more and more each time. And experiencing the highs especially for Jenner & Maddox just made me melt even more. That right there broke the damn and just made it even more special. I can never be more thankful for finding Siena because goddamn… She. Is. Everything.

Frozen Heart Face-Off by Siena Trap is a heartfelt second-chance sports romance about love, regret, and redemption. The novel centers on a professional hockey player who is given an unexpected opportunity to rekindle the romance with his estranged wife, Evie. Four years have passed since their relationship crumbled, but his feelings for her never wavered—his heart remains "frozen," stuck in the moment when their love was at its peak. Now, with Evie back in his life and in need of his help, he sees this as his chance to make things right and win her heart once again.
Jenner’s journey is deeply emotional, as he grapples with the guilt of failing to live up to the promises he made to his wife. Siena Trap beautifully explores the idea of a love that persists despite the pain of separation, highlighting how regret and longing can fuel a desperate desire for a second chance. Jenner’s vulnerability and determination to win Evie back make him a relatable and sympathetic character, and readers will feel for him as he reflects on the mistakes that led to their split.
Evie, meanwhile, is a strong and compelling character in her own right. Though her plan for enlisting her ex-husband’s help seems unconventional, it also demonstrates her resilience and independence. She’s no longer the woman who stood by his side during his rise to fame; she’s grown, and the chemistry between them is charged with both the tension of their past and the hope of a future together.
The novel blends the fast-paced world of professional hockey with a deeply personal, emotional journey. The sport serves as a backdrop to the larger story of healing and reconnection, and while hockey fans will appreciate the detailed look at the athlete's life, the heart of the novel lies in the characters' emotional struggles. Siena Trap does an excellent job of balancing the adrenaline of the sport with the tender moments of reconciliation and rediscovery.
What stands out in Frozen Heart Face-Off is the way the characters’ love story feels both nostalgic and fresh. Their history together adds depth to their interactions, and the spark between them is undeniable. The stakes feel high, not just because of Jenner’s determination to win Evie back, but because both characters have changed over the years, and they must navigate the new dynamics of their relationship.
Siena Trap’s writing style is engaging and full of emotion, capturing the intensity of both the romance and the personal challenges the characters face. The pacing keeps readers hooked, with a mix of sweet, tender moments and the thrill of high-stakes decisions.
Overall, Frozen Heart Face-Off is a touching and deeply emotional second-chance romance that will resonate with fans of love stories centered around personal growth and redemption. It’s a perfect read for those who enjoy sports romances with a lot of heart, where love is tested, but ultimately prevails.
