Painstaking to read and listen together, but so worth the effort.

Different than the first volume but definite tie ins from it. The prose and the illustrations are great and really paint the setting. I am also listening to the Audible version and I have to say I am very impressed by the audio’s ability to describe and set the scene for this comic. I am enjoying. Following along with the comic while listening to the well performed and well produced Audible version!

I really enjoyed it. A lot of people said this was so much better than Preludes & Nocturnes, but I'm not really sure if it was. I enjoyed both of them a lot. There seemed to be a few more things in this that hint at plot points that will come to fruition later, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they pan out in the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this book far more than J did the first (probably because Gaiman didn't feel as obligated to explicitly connect it to the DC universe). I still prefer Gaiman's other works but I'll certainly keep reading the series!

Ooh I’m so hooked on this series now! We have it all: lovely but a bit 80s art, larger than life dreams, great jokes… Gaiman doesn’t disappoint.

In this continuation of the series, we really get to see Morpheus reassume his position of power after being stuck in confinement in Volume 1, which I enjoyed. In Volume 2, we get to focus on the different manifestations of Morpheus' power come to life as he deals with them, and while some had me horrified (looking at you, Mr. Corinthian chapter with the convention), I liked the one section with the Rose being the vortex and Morpheus facing off with her in the Dream Realm. This volume kept me excited and turning pages as fast as I could read them, and I can't wait to meet more Endless siblings in Volume Three, because Morpheus' sister, Death seems very interesting.

I would definitely recommend this if you like a bit darker fantasy, as well as graphic novels, which until this year I didn't realize that I would enjoy them as much as I do, which I was happily surprised.
