You could read this story in a number of ways, or rather at a number of levels. At it’s heart I would argue that the book will show us the power of stories - what alternate worlds can bring. And in this capacity the stories within the book intertwine and intersect to create a mesh of human conceptions. Disturbing and delightful.

Beautiful, dark and twisted - I'm loving the careful layering and references scattered throughout, echoing minor plot points from volume one and foreshadowing more things still to come.
