Wonderfully fantastical from the start. The teashop made me extremely hungry and I really wanted to live at Dwimmerly End and learn magic! However, it did annoy me that it was basically all Madrigal's fault right from the start, and not for the reason they later say. It would have been quite simple to avoid the whole mess in the first place!

This was such a cute, fun read. I found myself highlighting so many lines that I personally think embodied the book.
I completely loved the characters and the all complemented each other perfectly. I really look forward to reading more about Yesterday and her found family (fast becoming one of my favourite tropes) in further books (I believe this to be the start of a series)
I adored the magic in this book, the idea of tea witchery is adorable, and if I were to choose what type of witch I would be then I believe a tea witch is perfect for me, because what goes better with tea than baked goods 😋 I think this is why Miss Dumpling and I would definitely be besties 😂
Yesterday's character was really enjoyable, she came across as a very strong character with a very firm grasp of what's right and wrong and her self depreciating side made her really relatable.

All in all a great middle grade read and a strong start to what I think will be an awesome series!

i found this book a delight to read! it inspired every lovely feeling in my body, while still having an edge to it!

i enjoyed yesterday's development and her ability to find contentment after a traumatic past leaves her with painful emotions to grapple with - she felt real and well rounded to me

the end of the book honestly gripped me, and the two main plot twists actually shocked me. whereas, the beginning and middle of the book were more steady and relaxing!

this book at its core felt like a promotion of healing! ive recommended it to my 9 year old niece, i know she will love it as much as i did
