I really enjoyed it! I saw a lot of Jace in Will so it must be a Herondale thing to act that way. I got similar vibes to City if Bones!

"One must always be careful of books and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us."

When I first read this book I must have been about 14, 15 at most, and I was obsessed. The characters, the world, the writing, all of it enthralled little teenage me. Rereading it at 21 I have to say, though I was nervous going in, it holds up. I've read much more and much wider since then so I can't say I'm still quite as awed by it, but I do love these characters so much. And rereading this book took me right back to a time in my life I've come to feel so separate from, which is, I think, one of the most beautiful things a book can do.

There's not much else that I have to say. I hold these books so close to my heart because of who I was when I first read and adored them. And I'm so very pleased that this one is almost just as good as it was back then.

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in

This book, like the rest of Cassie Clare's books, was amazing. It litterally took my breath away. Plus, I love the setting of Victorian England.

Set in the early 19th century, England. 16 yr old, Tessa Gray travels from New York to London, to find her older brother, Nate. When she is kidnapped by the Dark Sisters, she realizes that she is one of the Downworlders. A group of supernatural creatures, such as Warlocks, Lycanthropes, Vampires, etc... As she is rescued by a group of Shadowhunter, who keep the Downworlders and humans in order, will she able to trust them, and aid them with their problems? Can she keep her heart closed to dark-haired, blue eyed Will, who keeps everyone at an arm's length?

I love this book! Once I started reading it, I wasn't able to study anymore. My mind was always saying: 'Read the book. Just a bit. Then you can go back to studying' But then, it wasn't for a bit. It became much more that. So, I blame and thank this book at the same time. Fault for tempting me not to study, and Fault for being so damn, well written.
