Pretty sure this book broke my brain. A story within a story, sprinkled with haunting and horrors and magic.
This is absolutely a book that you finish and close, just to sit and think about everything that happened so that you can even understand the book-ception that you just went through.
The addition of chapters that are simply a list of words (which are riddles explained in the end) were fun and added to the overall theme of the story (stories?). Books exist in their own time and space and are certainly capable of ensnaring your attention and lives of your soul, and Looking Glass Sound definitely accomplishes that.
Honestly it should get a 5 star rating, but I literally just closed it and I am reeling from this rollercoaster of a read. Might come back and change it to a 5 after I've figured out what on earth is happening/has happened/will happen with Looking Glass Sound....

I don’t think I have had such a tough time rating any book ever! I keep changing my mind from 5 stars to 4.5 stars. Even now I’m not sure.
I have not ever read anything like this. It has so many books within the book that I wonder how the author kept track of them.
It’s a must read if you want to explore a whole new world of prose!
