I need somebody to physically map out what I just read….
adventurous emotional mysterious medium-paced

The characterization and and time jumps were jarring and clunky. I wasn’t quite sure how to feel about the major twist in the story, but I appreciated the plot device. The web of these relationships seemed to get really sticky and interwoven in a way I personally found confusing. Definitely a good casual read with very good dark seaside vibes, she conjures a clear world but the characterization I find is fuzzy.

Enjoyable read, it made me want to power through, and I haven't really unwound my feelings yet.

I like the mise en abyme, story within the story, trope, but in the end it was a bit of a convoluted mess, and
the relationship between Harper and Nat held little depth not weight to me, beyond a childhood friendship.

It did not seem a reason to continue destroying lives,
Harper's poor little rich girl character made little sense to me.

Anyway, it was a pretty good but not great novel. With a bit more time and editing, I do think it could have been something pretty fab, and that's a shame that it isnt.

I cannot decide how to review this. I think it got a lil chaotic to the point of spiraling by the end but I feel like this one is gonna make me think for a while. Plus, it was just well written. I could see it rating between 2 and 4 stars depending on the day but I’m feeling a 3.5ish today. What a nesting doll of a book.

Really enjoyed this but by the end it felt a bit too busy
