Best non-fictional book about relationships I've ever read. Esther writes so clearly which makes this book so easy and fun to read. I've learnt so much in this book, these pages are full of knowledge.
I learned some things, but there was a glaring absence of nuance around gender and sexuality/ace spectrums.
She acknowledged the queer community thoroughly for being on the forefront of tearing down toxic monogamy, but failed to get beyond the LGB to the TIA+. Not a whisper about asexuality for instance.

Insightful and nuanced, Esther Perel somehow balances empathy and staggering truth in such a way that she can welcome the reader to reconsider things we take for granted. I felt like the polyamorous chapter didn’t quite fit with her overall thesis. Nonetheless, I find so much to think about whenever Esther speaks, and this book was no different. As Brene Brown said on her Unlocking Us podcast, I am so grateful to be alive at the same time as Esther.
