At this point, this is a DNF FOR ME! I will have to come back to it later. I can understand that Emily had a hard time with her ex but that was no excuse for her to be unbearably rude to Parker.

I am so tired of people being rude for the sake of being rude, I just had to step away from this book for a while.

Loved it. Parker and Emily were a perfect match. Can't wait for Ethan's book!

I adored this book! Parker was a dream guy and Emily was his perfect match. Their chemistry was hot and there was a connection from their first meeting. The relationship was pretty smooth except for a small bump in the road. One point had me tearing up as they said goodbye, but thankfully that didn’t last. Carly Phillips has written another fantastic story and I’m now dying for Ethan’s book.

Parker Knight lost a lot with one car crash and the memories has haunted him. So when he is sent to Colorado to find a place for the company to have their retreat the last thing he thought he would do is find someone he connects with. But Emily's first impression of Parker is not favorable. Can the two find love while dealing with the baggage they need to overcome? Or will Parker go back to NY and back to his memories? I absolutely loved these characters. The give and take of the brothers as well as the heart warming connection between Parker and Emily make this a great addition to the series. cannot wait for Ethan's story.

This was a good read for me. The writing flowed well, and Parker and Emily had great chemistry. There wasn't a lot of drama between them in this story, just a situation of wrong time, wrong place. I thought Parker was a good guy, and I liked the way he tried to help everyone he thought could use it. Emily was okay, but I did get really frustrated at her for how she treated her dad. I can't imagine the pain from the loss of a parent, but she kept pushing her dad to give up his dreams and refused to see that the inn made him happy. Emily eventually came around though. I was happy to see everything work out for Parker and Emily though, and I think Ethan's story will be a good one.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Take Me Down is technically the second book in the Knight Brothers series. But it's the third in the actual series as Sierra's story is 1.5, but I digress.
Parker Knight had been dealt devastating blows and he's just trying to survive and find his new normal. He's the easy going brother.
Emily Stevens is trying to get her life back after a destructive relationship. Hoping to talk her father into selling his dream of a bed and breakfast which is falling down around them. Little does she know the unexpected guest Parker will change her outlook when she finally lets her walls down.

I've been an avid fan of Carly Phillips since falling in love with the Dare Family--and the Knights have now turned into an equally automatic one-click for me. "Take Me Down" is the first read of this new world for me, but it won't be the last. I did love that I could jump in at Book 3, and easily followed what was happening. The cameos by Parker's sibs definitely made me want to go and read their stories, as well! But of course, the star of this show is Parker himself, who is absolutely my kind of hero. Oddly disillusioned and a little burned out, he's sent on a business trip that seriously doesn't excite him--until he's stranded in a quaint mountain town and entranced by the gorgeous, smart, sexy, but adorably down-to-earth Emily. The banter between these two is fantastic, and gave me everything I love from a Carly Phillips read: flirty fireworks and a lot of witty fun, layered on top of characters with heads telling them not to fall in love but hearts that say otherwise. The second half of the book, where things get more complicated (and steamier!) between the two, was absolutely the best part for me. I loved the final resolution and all the dreamy sighs it gave me. Now to go one-click on Books 1 and 2!!

It took me a while to pick this one up, but boy am I glad I did. It's exactly what you expect it to be and was just what I needed.

If you're into those sort of cheesy, sexy romance novels, give this series a try.
