I should have expected how basic this book would be based on the other classics I've read so far, but I still had higher hopes for mystery and action than what I actually received.
It introduces a popular story/idea that other creators have been able to add to and embellish, but that's really all it is. An introduction. A bit of a boring one, if you ask me.

I read this after I became obsessed with the musical.
The musical is much better IMO, but the book isn't bad at all. I love how descriptive the author is, and of course, the story is an all-time classic. My biggest problem with it is that the narrator is the most boring motherfucker in the world. I'm not saying that's a problem, but it hindered my enjoyment while reading.

Estuvo de locos. Fue un experimento que va bien, peto luego se va de las manos y queda la embarrá jsjsjd literal él lo sentía como la oportunidad de la vida. Y la verdad es que lo era xd o sea, sería bacán que fuera posible... aunque no para cosas turbias y de mata gente x.x
La cuestión es que me impresionó que cuenta lo justo y necesario. Me gustó como fue narrado, en ningún momento sentí que hubiera relleno.

It took me a bit to get into, and it didn't quite live up to my expectations (it didn't dig deep enough into the human psyche for my liking) - also, I would've preferred the whole thing to be told from Jekyll's POV I think. But, once it got going it got more interesting and was pretty ominous in the end.
And I'm glad to have finally read something that is referenced absolutely everywhere!
