I like how this is a continuing story. Bruce is my favorite curmudgeony bear.

Bruce's Big Move does not disappoint! It is just as adorable and funny as the rest! Bruce has now come to grips with being the mother of 4 geese but can't get rid of the pesky mice! Bruce tries to take his geese and move away from the mice but finds that those he loves cannot live without them. Recommended for those with a lovable curmudgeon in their life!

I didn't love this as much as the original Mother Bruce. It's missing some of the humor but it was still nice to revisit Bruce and his geese children.

As an LT, I can attest this series is excellent for a read-aloud. As well, the images are charming and humorous - the storytelling is warm and thoughtful. Overall great book!

Bruce the bear lives in a den with four geese, because he is their mother. He also lives with three mice. Why? Because they will not go away. Through colorful illustrations, Ryan T. Higgins shows us what life is like for poor Bruce. Oh, the messes! It is loud, chaotic and poor Bruce just wants some normalcy. So Bruce decides to move, and off they go on his motorbike leaving the mice behind. Bruce finds the perfect spot deep in the woods, and soon has a house built. He loves his nice, new orderly home but his geese are very sad. He tries everything to cheer them up, but they miss their friends the mice....that is until they show up and announce they are home!
Both Sophia and Clayton loved the images. Sophia giggled at the messes and adored Bruce's children. She loved the animals building Bruce's new home and felt bad for the geese who missed their friends. She ended up smiling by the end. For me, I could relate to poor Bruce and all the noise, messes and more. Secretly I think Bruce missed the mice, but don't ask him to admit it. I think there are some teachable moments here especially for children dealing with younger siblings and I love that Bruce is a momma bear.

Ah, how I love these books! I was excited to see that both of Higgins' series were combined in this one. Berry growled at Bruce on every. single. page. LOL
