Book three in the Bruce series finds Bruce and the geese also living with the mice from book two. The house is too loud and chaotic for Bruce, and the mice won't leave, so Bruce decides to move. He has a house built but quickly realizes the geese are sad and miss their mice friends. When the moving truck arrives, so do the mice.
Of the three I've read, this would be my second favorite (the original being #1). Bruce stays true to his kind, loving character and learns to appreciate what home really means.

Just when grumpy Bruce begins to settle into life with his four geese, he gets three new roommates, mice. These mice drive Bruce so crazy that he decides to move. While he is happy in his new home the geese are not. What can Bruce do to cheer them up?
Bruce's Big Move is another charming installment in the Mother Bruce series. The illustrations are terrific and Bruce and his out of the ordinary family are as amusing as ever.

Love this picture book series. It works for both parents and kids. So sweet and a nice continuance of the previous books.

I didn't get the appeal of the Mother Bruce books. But that was because I'd never actually read one. I totally get it now.

Another funny Bruce book where he doesn't want to be a parent and finds it challenging. To excape the noise he moves to a new house with the geese. The geese are now sad because they miss their mice friends. Overall a happy ending.
"Bruce's house was once again crowded, chaotic, and loud. And Bruce didn't like it one bit. But it felt like home."

We find Bruce not only sharing his house with his 4 geese "children" but with the 3 mice siblings we met in the last book. His house is crowded, noisy, and chaotic, and he is NOT a happy bear! So, he sets off in search of a new house for himself and his geese, leaving the mice behind. With some searching, they find a new home, and Bruce is quite happy. His geese-children, however, are NOT.
In the last two pages I found myself laughing over how much I can commiserate with Bruce as he finds himself with a more full house than he'd planned, and as he tries to make the best of it.
