I love Bruce and the goslings, but I'm not a huge fan of the mice. Ah, well.
This book was pretty cute, in its own way. Bruce's face when he's trying to cheer up the geese is priceless.

If you don’t love Ryan T. Higgins’ Mother Bruce books, with their adorable grumpy star and charming story with accompanying illustrations, do you even have a heart?!

Another cute Bruce story. I like that the series is a continuous storyline and even though it's continuous, the introduction of this book gives you just enough info in case you haven't read the rest of the series. I was slightly disappointed in the ending of this one, though. It didn't seem to have much of a resolution, but more of a "to be continued" feel.
Bonus points for the turtles being behind schedule. I see what you did there!

As always, Bruce continues to be my favorite mother bear.

Bruce's house is too crowded, chaotic, and noisy, so Bruce decides to move somewhere quiet and peaceful. Finally he finds the perfect home! Unfortunately, his geese are sad and lonely without their mouse friends. He tries to cheer them up, but nothing works until the mice show up with the moving van. Yay! Now the geese are happy, the mice are happy, aaaand Bruce is back to having a chaotic, noisy house. Still...it does feel like home.
I LOVE Ryan T. Higgins' picture books. They are my new favorites, right up there with Mo Willems'. Our daughter asks us to read them over and over, giggling at the story and illustrations every single time. Higgins' illustrations are superb--conveying worlds of subtext and humor. Some books you really get tired of reading over and over, but these are just as delightful the 67th time as they were the 1st.

Bruce returns in a new book about moving away. If you are familiar with the previous titles, this is a great addition to the series. The illustrations and humor are great strengths to these books.
