I love British crime authors and I can’t believe I waited this long to delve into the Jane Tennison character.
Loved the pace of the action and drama. Really gripping!

Liked this very much. I am not sure if it is a credit to the BBC Series, but I found that the book didn't really have much to add to the TV series but both are equally compelling. I guess he main exception is that Tennison is less acerbic in the book than on TV. She is so likeable when you can hear her thoughts, but I guess that is the whole point of sexism , isn't it? A police woman has to show a "tough" exterior.
Davina Porter as the narrator is perfect except that I have flashbacks to Outlander : ) It almost feels as if Tennison is a modern day Claire!
Quick read.. and not as dark as I thought it would be.

consistent with #1.
My only complaint is that Davina Porter has a terrible west indian accent. Everyone sounds scottish, lol. But really it doesn't bother me.
Great story. I highly recommend it.

Consistent with the rest of the series.
This episode seems to be a bit more involved. I listen to the audiobooks, and I had to rewind and relisten quite a bit to get all the details.
It is interesting reading this series written in the early 1990s and seeing how it holds up now. I personally thinks it holds up well. It is shocking now for a different reason than it would have been back in the early 90's. A good depiction of exactly how far the world has come and how far we still have to go.
Only downside is that it doesn't really feel like an end. So I can see why the TV series went to 6 episodes.

This book is based on the original first episode screenplay for Prime Suspect, a 1990’s procedural with a strong female lead. As would be expected, the narrative keeps a suspenseful and fast pace, alternating conviction and doubt about the prime suspect in the case and ending on a cliff-hanger.
I couldn't stand the main character. In fact, I couldn't stand any of the characters except the boyfriend, Pete. The storyline was ok but without liking the characters, it was a long read.
equis, empezó medio interesante pero al final fue muy equis, estaba esperando por el plot twist que me volaría la cabeza pero ps no pasó, ni modo.
