Endlich bin ich durch. Rezension folgt

I'm going to be honest; if this was just a story about a girl falling in love with a famous actor, I would hate it.
Anything involving rockstars/hollywood stars/famous people feels like wattpad to me and I'm not in the mood anymore to read stories that could pass as a "Harry Styles x Y/N" fanfic. Luckily, this story is a little bit different.

Ella's story is really captivating. The entire accident & rehabilitation process is so interesting and I genuinely enjoyed reading about Ella's way back to a "normal" life.
Something that I don't quite like are Brian's chapters. He's basically the Harry Styles of this story and I couldn't care less about him.

All in all, this book is really fun to read. It's not the BEST book I've ever read but I had a fun time reading it.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: 5 stars -- UNPUTDOWNABLE. Seriously. I started reading this b/c I was at the release party for it and there was a part where the author posted a video of her reading the prologue and first chapter of the book. Well, when I started bawling at the end of the prologue, I had to put aside the book I was currently reading and start reading it for myself even though it was after 10pm....ended up being up til 5am glued to my kindle. So does that tell you something? It tells me it was awesome. And then I proceeded to not write my review right away and thus this will not be up to my normal babbling standards....well, maybe.

LOVED the characters. Loved the whole very loose retelling of Cinderella. There was actually more to that than I was expecting. Loved how broken and yet strong Ella was. Loved watching her struggle in her new life, and struggle to survive. LOVED the heartbreaking themes that the story touched on (bullying, grief, survival, depression...I have more but I can't think of them). Gosh, even Brian was so much more complicated than I was expecting. Ms. Oram's characters are always so well-developed and three dimensional. Even the side characters were amazing and believable (yes, even Anastasia....I actually had a harder time justifying some of Jennifer's (the stepmom) behavior from the beginning).

And I kind of wanted The Druid Prince to be real.

ASE is still probably my favourite of Ms. Oram's, but let me tell you -- this put in some amazing competition for top spot.

ON REREAD: 5 OMG OMG OMG stars! We reread this book as part of a read-a-long in the Kelly Oram Reader Squad in September in preparation for the new cover and 2 year publish-a-versary. And it was MAGICAL! Everything I remember this book being. I then didn't write up my review YET AGAIN, so it will be lacking. But I will say that I was reminded of one of my FAVOURITE scenes from a book of ALL TIME (for those who've read it, it's the FantasyCon moment where realizations occur). I could read that scene OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, kind of like how I could watch the end of Never Been Kissed OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. It's *that* good. Seriously, "say car for me"...it shouldn't produce chills, but it does.

And the pièce de résistance of the read-a-long? Having conversations *with* the characters ABOUT the book they are in. Seriously...made my whole day.

THIS WAS SO CUTE AND I LOVED IT

3.5 stars

If you want a summary read the back of the book. In short this is a modern, YA, retelling of Cinderella. Overall I liked it.... aside from the fact that I really didn’t feel like Cinder and Ella belonged together but I guess it was sweet enough....

I'm really a fan of Kelly Oram. :) Just got the ARC! Thank you, Kelly! <3

Days after... Finally finished it! Just now. Lol.

First of all... WHERE CAN I GET THE DRUID CHRONICLES BOOK?!!?

Second, if this is purely fantasy, PLEASE WRITE THE STORY OF DRUID CHRONICLES, KELLY ORAM. I BEG YOU.

Third, I FREAKING LOVE YOU KELLY ORAM.

Fourth, I DEFINITELY LOVE CINDER & ELLA!!!

-REVIEW-

This was such a cheesy story which I definitely enjoyed! All the feels! I have it! Kelly Oram is simply one of the best writers. And I am off to preorder the book. Wonder if it'll release a paperback or hardback? Whatever would be available for my collection. :)

Some might say the story is cliché, used a lot. I read a lot of novels like this but as always there was the difference. For one, Oram wrote this so cleverly I am in awe of her. She made us laugh, snort, pissed off with some of the characters like Kaylee and all those bullies, be in love with Cinder/Brian and most of all, bawl like a baby with the family drama.

I love the family development. I love how it was written out for us to see that they can improve. The can be better. That they have their stories just awaiting to be uncovered. It was not easy reading the family situations like Ella have. With her handicap and issues and scars, I am saluting Ella. Oram shows that Ella is only human, a girl who lost it all but then found out that she still have someone or some people who really care for her.

I also like the online relationship part. I can relate. Makes me think that one day, I can definitely meet my online friends. Like meet up with them BEA starts. ;) I'm not closing the possibility it might happen someday. I am looking forward to that day.

People might argue with me that the story is just so-so, or whatever. One thing I know, I ENJOYED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF READING THIS STORY. I LOVE JULIETTE, VIVIAN AND HER DADS. I LOVE THE FANTASYCON SCENE. AND YOU PEOPLE MUST READ THIS. I can't stress it enough. JUST DO IT, BUY THE BOOK! SPREAD THE WORD, SPREAD THE LOVE OF CINDER & ELLA. <3

Kelly Oram is one of my weakness. Lol. I was stressed the whole week but after reading Cinder & Ella, I'm okay. I'm good.

Definitely worth reading, worth your time and money. Go to Amazon now! :D
