Major melodrama, pretty cheesy, and super sugary-sweet cotton candy fluff...but I still had a lot of fun reading it. đ
Perfect!
Wow. That's the word that sums up my feelings for this book. I loved the characters, I loved the storyline, and I really loved the ending.
I'm not an overly emotional person most of the time, but this one made me feel all the things. I laughed, I sighed wistfully, I even shed a tear or two. The author did a terrific job at making the characters feel real. I enjoyed their interactions as the relationships formed and grew.
My favorite character, of course, was Ella. I really cared for Ella and could almost feel her fear, her anguish, and her joy. I cheered her on throughout the story, especially after she started seeing other people's sides of the story. I think the author did a great job with her character. I believe that her reactions and feelings were very realistic. I'd have dealt with things similarly to how she did, though I doubt I would have the courage or the strength that she does.
I would totally recommend this book to lovers of romance, to readers looking for an emotional and inspirational story, and to anyone that loves to sigh over dreamy, passionately devoted men.

Highly readable, but the way disability was handled, yikes. Also having a biracial MC and referring to her and her mom exclusively as exotic and having caramel skin etc., is not a good look. It wasn't the only issue, like I said it's higly readable, but be aware this has issues when reading
This book is kinda a retelling of Cinderella. It is about a girl named Ella and her internet best friend Cinder who is actually a famous actor Brian. Ella gets in a car accident in which her mother dies and she is left with burn scars. She then lives with her absent father who has a new wife and two twin step daughters.
At first I thought it would be a typical cliché Cinderella romance story except for the fact that her step mother and step sisters will love her in the end and they'll live happily ever after. But it wasn't.
I liked the fact that her family issues weren't still solved in the end. Her step sister Anastasia still didn't like her much and her step mother was polite to her but didn't totally accept her. This all made the book more realistic and that made the book much better.
I honestly think this book is not all about romance if you look it a certain way. It's much more than that like about how you have family issues and world criticizes you and even though they lessen, they actually don't disappear. You will always have problems. Life isn't perfect and this book highlights that point.
The romance with Cinder aka Brian was good but a little bit boring honestly. It could be just me or it could be the book. I don't know which.
It was a good book honestly.

Cuando empecĂ© este libro, me esperaba un tonto romance juvenil, y si bien tiene su cuota de ello, la historia me sorprendiĂł mucho, y me enamorĂł. Espero leer algĂșn otro libro de Kelly en el futuro â„
âA great character needs trials to overcome experiences to give them depth, to make them vulnerable, relatable, and likable. Good characters need hardships to make them strong. The idea makes sense, but it still sucks if youâre the heroine.â
this is the absolute cheesiest book I have ever read in my entire life. it was SO over the top, all of the time. if you need your books to have at least a little sense of reality then you're gonna hate this. but i found myself actually having fun with all the extraness!
