In case you're wondering:
Is this book good?
Yes, yes it it.
How good?
Stay up all night grinning like an idiot and going to bed at practically dawn good.
That good, huh?
Yeah, that good.
I wasn't really planning to find a cute, lighthearted romance to read, but I guess sometimes, the book finds you. I definitely wasn'tt expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, but I found myself wanting to slap the stupid grin off my silly face at 4 AM. I think the only other chick flick I enjoyed this much was Elizabeth Eulberg 's [b:Prom and Prejudice|8369681|Prom and Prejudice|Elizabeth Eulberg|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1281991654s/8369681.jpg|13225041], which is saying a lot - I've read it three times, and if you know me you know I never reread books whose plot I haven't forgotten yet; if you think like that it's easy to see how enjoyable a read it is.
But back to Cinder & Ella. (Oh, where to start?)
With Ella, I guess. She's awesome. She's been through some shit in life, but she's incredibly strong, not to mention she's incredibly likeable- funny, snarky, witty, all things that make her so much fun to read. And her relationship with Cinder? PURE GOLD. Their interactions were so funny and sweet and entertaining they just had me grinning fom ear to ear. As Ella's stepsister Juliette said, "The two banter back and forth like a romance novel heroine and her dastardly pirate captor." And Cinder is also a great character. It's obvious he loves Ella, but his circumstances in life prevent him from meeting her, at the same time the unique nature of their relationship makes him both the person who knows her best and the one who knows the least about her.
And the side characters. Delicious Daniel (lol), Cody and Dr Parish from the rehabilitation team and Ella's new family. I think the way Ella's relationship with her father's family developed is a major reason I enjoyed the book so much. Their interactions were believable, even with the evil stepsister trope, and their relationship developed in a gradual and realistic way. There were no quick fixes, no trying to mend things by force, and I respect that. And best of all, every single one of them had a reason to act the way they did; by the end of the book, all of them were fleshed-out characters and what's not to like about that? Granted, there were a few eyebrow-raising moments where the way character X or Y acted was a bit hard to swallow, but they were few and far between, not to mention unimportant. If I were to point a flaw at the book it would be that I would have liked to know more about Brian's family circumstances, and to see father and son eventually reconcile, or go in that direction, but I admit I have no idea where how that could fit in the story. Another is that it ended immediately after they got together, which is, in my opinion, extremely irritating, BUT I recognize and acknowledge that that's the norm for romance novels so this is more an expression of a personal preference that an actual complaint.
Basically, I reacommend this book. I recommend it to everyone who wants some chick lit in their life and wants to just sit back and enjoy while forgetting the real world for a few hours.

5 estrellitas enormes.

I loved this book. Sweet and funny with moments that brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful characters both main and secondary. I'd actually love some follow up stories about the supporting cast.
Stále je to rovnako emocionálny príbeh. Som zvedavá na pokračovanie.
4,5
Neuveriteľná jazda na kolotoči a príbeh, v ktorom som dokázala zožrať asi všetko a ani by som voči tomu nejako extra nenamietala. Nemohla som sa odtrhnúť.

Cute read. It did have a lot of unrealistic aspects, but I still liked it!
I really enjoyed this story. It was well written and I loved the interaction between the characters.
A solid read
This was my first read from this author and I found it to be a solid, cute and well written story.
Solid characterization throughout the book, even down to the mean kids and their antics, which let me say I really despised a few, Oram has created, although predictable, a very good book with some very likable characters.
