Can't remember how many times I've read this book, I fell in love with it as a teenager and I imagine I'll still be reading it when I'm old. It is timeless, as rocks, as hatred, as passion, as Heathcliff and Chathy's love.

Although generally targeted as the tragic romance between Catherine and Heathcliff, it is just as much a psychological study on out unreliable narrator Ellen Dean which I could not loathe more. Hardly saying anything revolutionary here but there really is a reason this book is a classic. This is a novel that would translate quite well onto the screen I think so I definitely want to look into existing adaptations but given the tack record of Jane Eyre adaptation I don't have very high hopes.

My life will always be defined as before and after I read that line of Heathcliff telling Catherine he can forgive his own murderer but her could never forgive hers. It makes me tear up just to think of it.

Despues de leer este libro estoy convencida de que necesito una clase de escritura dictada por Emily Brontë, trata de temas complejos como la moralidad, obsesión y emocionalidad de una forma que resuta, en gran manera, conmovedora.
El estilo del romanticismo, convierte a la historia en una prosa sumamente poética y ornamentada al grado de producir variedad de emociones en mí. Le agradezco al cielo por cruzar mi camino con esta joya de la literatura.
