dark sad medium-paced

loved this book so much, i am so fond of codependent relationships and tragedies so this was a good and enjoyable read for me, especially as a book to get me back into reading. i would give it 5 stars but i personally found the last chunk of the book grueling to get through despite really liking catherine linton the most out of all the characters... and jacob’s dialogue frustrated me beyond belief

Yall can keep this one. I get the story but actually reading it is confusing. Too many Catherines not enough ghosts.

a classic that didn’t disappoint. gonna go listen to kate bush on repeat now.

“Wuthering Heights is great” she said, having nothing noteworthy to add to centuries of discussion about a book near universally-regarded as one of the best english language novels ever written.

Who the hell has been going around saying Wuthering Heights is a romance?!
Ol' Heathcliff is the OG morally gray (morally black?) MMC but there be no romance here.
I get the passion and I get the despair and some of these lines will haunt me for the rest of time but can we please get this out of the romance genre.

Didn’t realize that this was a book about interpersonal drama amongst a bunch of shitty annoying people - my least favorite kind of book. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
