The last book I read in this series was in 2019 so picking up the fifth book now felt like starting a 12 season tv series on season 8 of the show. I have no idea what happened in this book.

I’m definitely older than the target audience for this one. However, I’ve come to really enjoy the world described in this series, even if it is written about simply. This book felt weird though. It didn’t really have a normal plot. Like a bunch of things happened but this book didn’t feel like it had much value outside of being the stuff that happens in between the last book before this one and whatever happens next. It’s a pretty weird vibe. This was extremely easy to read and that was kinda refreshing. This was good, but I kinda feel like this series should have already ended.

I enjoyed this story but it seemed much less well organized and thought out compared to the other books... definitely a little disappointing

I liked this one waaaay more than the last one. To me, it felt more like the original books. I really love the children, they’re just great.
This series is going in a better direction than I was anticipating. I thought we would see the different clans in America fight each other, but (hopefully), that won’t happen. Or at least it doesn’t seem like it will.
I don’t know about Jacob and Noor. Let me be clear, I think Jacob is great and I’m liking Noor more and more. But them together? I don’t know, it feels forced.
I will say that the first half of this book, nothing really happened. The action was all in the last part. But it was good action.
I am happy I have the last one on my bookshelves. I’m excited to see how Ransom will wrap this series up.

This was okay - I'm not going to lie, I feel like this little continuation trilogy wasn't fully necessary and I think this one was trying to do so many things and it was a lot and a little hard to follow. It was still fine because I liked the characters, but it wasn't my favourite.

American peculiar factions are ready to wage war, and it's up to the ymbrynes to create peace. In the meantime, Jacob and his friends are now working to stop an elaborate plot that may have been planned since the beginning of the Peregrine saga. They'll have to work together to uncover the conspiracy behind their enemies actions and prevent the destruction of the world they love. Fantastic second book of the second Peregrine trilogy. I read this in one sitting, and I was on edge the whole way through!

This book seemed to serve as a transition from one plot line to another. It deals with a prophecy and finding old friends. Although faster paced and more action heavy than the others, this book still held the same air of horror and weirdness they always do. I’m both sad and excited to move onto the last one!

Loved this one! Don't love the cliffhangers, but this story was engaging and I loved how it expanded the characters and the world building.
