This is book 5 of the adventure and was a fun quick read. I love the old time photos weaved throughout the story. The writing is easy to follow and the tale is a fun mix of fantasy and friendship.
The fifth book picks up exactly where the fourth left off. Just after, Jacob and Nor jumped out the window. I found this volume in the series to be a bit tiresome. I was not very invested or interested in its content and found Miss Peregrine and Emma to be rather loathsome in this one. Miss P's curtness and stand-offish behavior throughout most of the book made me wonder if she was, in fact, not herself. Emma was infuriating with her jealousy and pouting throughout the WHOLE novel. Since it was a rather important piece to the whole story, I was sad to feel it was lacking. Here is hoping the next one will be as good as the rest.

I am not in love with this plot line. Yet the ending was very entertaining and I did get lost in the story.
