Libby app has this marked as "General Audience", but there are a couple explicit sex scenes.
This is written very tightly from the two main characters POVs, leaving a lot of plot points unexplored. For example, for the first 3/4 of the book, Elle's younger brother is the villain, and then he's handled off-screen and his consequences are given to us in a single line. But part of Elle's self-imposed isolation was something really bad that she did, that the younger brother knows about, but there are no consequences for Elle (it actually turns into a major plot point for the rest of the book).
On the other hand, there should have been a cute "10 years later"-style epilogue with our main couple and their 2 adopted kids, as that was a major part of Luc's personality and drive.

DNF at 40%. I don’t know why but I couldn’t get into this book at all. I felt like nothing kept the plot moving or kept me invested.

Because Luc is French, there was a chance here to use "mon coeur" instead of "my heart".

Wish I could give 10 stars. This is one of the more original books I've read in a while. Amazed that this is the author's first book. Enjoyed the very engaging, sympathetic characters and the very interesting resolution to the problems they face. I am eagerly awaiting her next novel.

A delightful stand-alone debt urban fantasy romance. Thoroughly enjoyed!

A refreshing and fun read, with great banter and emotional beats.

I just wish we got to see more of Elle’s magic and how the world works. I also felt the ending was tied up a bit too neatly, though there were still a few dangling loose ends.

But overall, a really great read!
