I rarely leave negative reviews, but there are some books that I just can't find the good in, and this is one.
I have read and enjoyed other books by this author (The "Big Fat Fake..." series, for example) and have given those books either 4 or 5 stars. So I kept reading, hoping it would get better. Had this been by an unknown to me author, I would have DNF after about Chapter 8.
The characters are all annoying. Every. Single. One. In addition to being annoying, they are also one-dimensional. The insta-love is as unconvincing as their chemistry.
The overall premise of the book is interesting and the storyline has potential. Unfortunately, so much of it is unrealized and the storyline is tedious, the dialogue often cringy. It is billed as a rom-com, but it's not even a little bit funny.
There is more I could say, but these reviewers have already said it better:
Sarah Toussaint: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2122499170

If this is your first book by this author, don't be deterred from reading her other books - they are much better and really funny! Highly recommend those!

I really enjoyed this book! It was light and an easy read which is just what I was looking for. I did find Bri a little annoying at times but still enjoyed the story.
I was completely drawn in by this book. Loved it cant wait to read more of this series!
2.5 begrudgingly rounded up to 3. Borrowed on KU.
Most of this felt like a 2, some felt like a 3, and snippets felt like a 4 (mostly the joke cracking friend, Mindy). It felt underdeveloped in plot, there wasn’t enough time spent with Gavin & Bri to be able to fully buy their insta-love. They came across quite juvenile at times. Also, there was a LOT lacking in the realism to the point of distraction. There were some quick misunderstandings, but they seemed to get over them quickly, so it’s not angsty at all. It was free via KU and only took a few hours to read otherwise I would have been less impressed.
Really, I started reading this because I was listening to the Bennett Boys series and I realized it was probably a spin-off from another series. Lo, it’s characters from “Heartstopper”, which is book 3 from this series. All these books have characters from previous books so I started at the beginning.
If I just started here, I doubt I’d read any more in the series and I’d be hesitant to continue to read anything from Lauren Landish. However, I’m pretty invested in Bennett Boys and the next book in THIS series is Mindy’s and I’m actually looking forward to that.

She’s just a maid working at a hotel and while he’s a former football player who just happens to be staying at the same hotel she works at. When these 2 meet she doesn’t know who he is but then learns about it through her friend. What happens when the girl doesn’t have much money and the guy is in the spotlight ends up falling for each other but are both scared to admit their feelings..
So this guy has a really big dick and everyone knows it. That’s it, that’s the plot.

DNF 60% don't even know how I made it that far. This was just bad. It was quick even for an insta-love. Football star turned actor going to screw up his entire career for someone he met 2 days ago. Give me a break.
That was a cute hot read
What a pleasurable read. Gavin is definitely a confident alpha male with an anaconda. Finding Brianna was something that shook him and even more shocking is she runs from him. I liked this read and felt invested with the characters! I would definitely recommend!
