This was a Christmas celebration story featuring cameos by many of the previous couples and characters in the Dark Carpathian series. Also featured where two couples who “found” their lifemates in this story, so we can expect their stories to come soon. One couple was Dimitri/Skylar and the other one was Manolito/MaryAnn. There was also the promise of many future Carpathian babies to come as a lot of heroines were expecting.

I enjoyed reading about all the couples and seeing where their lives are after their books ended. I enjoyed seeing everyone interact with each other and form friendships; even though the species are becoming extinct, they truly are a family. It are these romance stories which feature the strong element of family, that touch my heart the most.

Rated: 4.75/5.0—Overall, a fun introduction to the Christmas/winter season! I loved how this book featured a lot of lighthearted moments and humor; it is something that is lacking in the series as the plot lines are typically pretty heavy and dark. My favorite thing from this book was the storyline of Mikhail invoking his father-in-law rights and having Gregori play Santa Clause for the children at the celebration party; everyone’s reactions to that was the best. There were a lot of “flies” on the wall during that scene!

Dark Celebration was exactly what I needed—a cozy, emotional return to the Carpathian world that felt like a reunion with old friends. This book isn’t a typical action-heavy installment, and that’s honestly what made it so special to me. Instead of focusing on just one couple’s story, it weaves together so many of the lifemates and characters we've met throughout the series, giving us glimpses into their lives, struggles, and the deep bonds they've formed.

I loved seeing Mikhail retake center stage, especially as the weight of being a prince starts to take a toll on him. His vulnerability, his connection with Raven, and his concern for the future of the Carpathian people made him even more human and relatable. It was heartwarming to watch how everyone came together not only to support him but also to reconnect with each other in meaningful ways.

What stood out to me was the balance between the darker, more intense elements of the world and the warmth of family, celebration, and love. Feehan manages to remind us of the stakes while still giving us time to breathe and enjoy the quieter, emotional moments. I laughed, I teared up, and I found myself smiling at all the familiar dynamics playing out in one book.

If you’re already a fan of the series, this feels like a gift—a book made just for the readers who’ve stuck with the Carpathians through all the darkness. It’s not the place to start if you’re new, but if you’ve read even a handful of the previous books, Dark Celebration is an incredibly satisfying, heart-filled read that reminded me why I fell in love with this world in the first place.

1/5.. maybe even less -_- Not much for me to say about this book. Happy I purchased it at the Dollar Store. This book was insanely cheesy for me, completely unrealistic in a BAD way. I tried to get in to the story because I read some good reviews but I just could not. I'll be donating this or turning it into a craft of some sort.

Dark Celebration is exactly that a dark celebration. Feehan couldn't have picked a better title. There was definite cause for celebration with the reunion of all the Carpathians from the previous novels. It was great to see them all together and how their lives have progressed with their lifemates. But you can never have Carpathians without the threat of vampires and that is where the dark comes in. Definitely, a Carpathian classic!!!!!
