This book… devoured me whole. Truly I’ve never read anything like it and I loved every second of it and wanted it to never end. The character development and depth of emotion are insane. I was clutching my chest half the time because of how raw this book made me feel. I don’t know what it is about books based around water or ships but I can always visualize them so vividly in my mind and this was no exception. The story played like a movie in my head and I have a feeling I’ll be rereading this book often. Not one stone was left unturned and the story was perfect from start to finish. Please check TW and CW because this DOES NOT romanticize pirates, it is very dark but so historically accurate I was living for the research the author must have done!
