I tried finishing this series as I absolutely loved Flame Cursed Fae & The Shadow Bound queen Series, but I just felt like I was dragging myself through it, and couldn't push myself to finish the Ares Trials after reading the Hades Trials. A shame!

Reading the complete series of The Hades Trials was a roller coaster. It had action and mystery. However, I felt like there could’ve been more details in regards to certain things. Reading the complete series in one book was a great way to go through all of the emotions. I do love that even though it’s a Hades & Persephone retelling some of the main Greek mythology aspects are still involved. I would reccomend this to people who are looking to get into the world of Greek mythology and fantasy.
I don’t usually write reviews for the books i read but do I have a lot to say. This book is just not good I can’t even get started. I just didn’t like it, I went into the book with the mindset of I reading for a good time not a long time but nope. At first I did really like the first installment of the book. (There are three books on kindle but this book has all three into one) Then the second part just felt emotionless like Hades felt not connected and the same can go for Persephone. I get this is a retelling of there story with a hunger games type plot. At some point in the book it felt like flat and boring. I love greek mythology as the next person but not this book.

This was an interesting twist on Hades and Persephone. Persephone left/was kicked out of Olympus and lost her memories. She gets taken back and has to compete to marry Hades. Hades is a more complicated character than how he's normally portrayed. I didn't like that the author used British English. In this world Persephone is from modern day New York and wouldn't speak using words like "whilst" and "row."
It was just meh. The romance and spice was lacking and the plot wasn’t strong enough to make up for it. Plus we are left with cliffhangers and unresolved plot points that seemingly could have been resolved. Overall just hoped for more.

3.5 stars. This series was an enjoyable read, certainly action packed! Relationship between Hades and Persephone was a too insta-love for me. It makes sense that it was, but still we get no build up, no insight into their relationship besides a whole "fated mates" vibe. I also didn't feel any real insight into Hades character at all, despite his POV chapters.
The last book was disappointing, everything wrapped up too quickly. Persephone's memory loss was made to be a huge deal, but the act that apparently led to the decision to wipe her memory was kind of anticlimactic. As was the resolution of whatever cataclysmic thing was supposed to happen if Cronos ever got his hands on Persephone. It seemed waaayyy to easy.
And I assume Zeus is going to get his comeuppance in the Ares or Poseidon books, because he just disappeared? Like, that's it??
