I enjoyed this collection! Fun characters, some spice, adventure, and some humor. The ending was a little too cliche for me but

This was a really fun and different twist on the Hades and Persephone story. I absolutely loved the idea of trials. There was danger, adventure, humor, and a great slow burn romance. I read this all at once although I know it's originally three books, which I think would have been really weird to read it that way. I liked reading it all as one story with like three parts to it, three separate books would have been weird. All in all I do recommend it as a good adventurous romance with some mild spice.

I read it

eh
really felt as if it had not been edited by anyone, which really bothered me because it is hard for me to read past mistakes in a book.

Let me start by saying I LOVE Hades and Persephone retellings - all the forbidden romance and fated love and toe curling tension just does it for me.

When I started this, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it, but I kept reading because it was a different take on the usual retelling and it had potential. I'm really glad I did - I couldn't stop once it picked up. I NEEDED to know how the trials were going to progress, who was going to be left standing at the end, and who was to blame for all of the unexplained mishaps.

This only got 4 stars because there really wasn't much world building or character development - you're literally just thrown right into the story. That being said - the story hooked me and kept me intrigued, as did the heart-wrenching, slow burn tension between Hades and Persephone.

If you need world building and complex character development to enjoy a story, this probably won't be for you. But if you're looking for an intriguing, spicy Hades and Persephone retelling, I definitely recommend!

Weird pacing? Like so much time spent on “I don’t have my memories what happened” then the big reveal and it wasn’t really addressed? Did appreciate that the FMC prior to memory wipe had asked everyone to tell her rather than a “we aren’t telling the FMC for her own good” trope

I liked this book. I loved all the Greek Mythology brought to life. Though I am reaaaaally over the lost memory trope lol

eh, not the best retelling of hades and persephone. the storyline on one point got interesting; when
persephone got send back to earth and tells her brother everything; but getting back was no problem, because she and her brother got transferred back almost immediately, which made the trip to earth feel like it was just a sidetrack to get the brother (for no apparent reason than to be a sidekick)

After watching Kaos this was the perfect next read. I am in love with the Hades and Persephone love story and was hooked from start to finish which is rare for me with a book that’s mainly centered on romance.

Excited to see where the Ares trials takes Olympus 👀
