every author should attend the Rick Riordan school of series development - this is one the best (book) series finales I’ve ever read that masterfully incorporated elements from all of the previous books
Graphic: Child death, Death, Violence
This one is really hard to rate. It felt like it trudged on for quite some time, but the ending was so beautifully done. Easily a 4.5 star if Goodreads would let me
im not crying YOURE crying
edit 2023:
still crying but now also devastated by the fact that everyone in this is a little baby

I'd already seen parts of the film and series, so I wasn't going in with a completely blank slate, which made it relatable (besides general Greek mythology knowledge), so that was actually nice. Very well written! Loved it!
The book passed the fifth star threshold. It was the best book in the whole series for me. it was extremely fun and couldn't put it down.
the first * the characters, which i liked and adored from the first book, and the way he portrayed the gods were great as always.
the second * the idea of the book, typhon raising havoc and the gods battling him. Percy taking the curse of achilles like Luke, though i felt there should be more to it. The battles with Kronos and his army with Manhattan as the battlefield were very thrilling and creative.
the third * for the amazing events form the very start, never a dull moment. it was a very rich novel. The battles of Manhattan, the battles of the gods and Typhon, the mysterious prophecy and how it all came together.
the fourth * is for the style of Riordan in writing, simple, and fun.
the fifth * is for the ending, it may not get the full star, but most of it. i expected more to the end of the great titan kronos. but i liked it. it was appropriate. although i felt so sad for Luke, he was my favorite, but it was a great ending for his character.
Riordan's knowledge of the greek mythology is very impressive, and he created a wonderful arch with it, that i can't get enough of it. Thank God for the heroes of Olympus :D
