So good!!! Only thing is main charicter is always complaining about her massive boobs but they are a c cup… like that’s medium average size it’s not hard to find a sticky bra in a c cup! Annoying thing for me to focus on. I just think it’s funny and I’m obsessed with boob size (getting mine reduced in November)

Wasn't for me. Great characters, diversity and plot but felt like it never built up to anything as felt the author skimmed over anything of importance or deep. Really wanted to love it as all the elements there. But just never seemed to get to the next level.

I read Pride and Prejudice for the first time in middle school and it's been a favorite ever sense. I read the book at least once a year when I need a little comfort. This being said, I am not a purist for P&P retellings - I'll take any version of this story and find a way to enjoy it.
I'm about halfway through right now and the story definitely follows the general plot of P&P, but with the twist of making it about highly feminist, college aged students. There are a ton of pop culture references, and it brings some really great "real world" problems and builds on some of the general struggles for POC and members of the LGBTQ without hitting to heavy on trauma.
This is a cute, modern retelling of Pride & Prejudice. Leading with a diverse group of badass women, a Black engineering student. a newly transitioned Trans woman studying French and theater, and a Filipina astronomy major. One of my favorite parts of the story so far is the beautiful example of true, strong, female friendship!!!
Our "Lizzie" is a strong black woman, stubborn but sweet and fiercely loyal. She's made level headed decisions about her future that will guarantee that she can live the type of life she desires and doesn't like to deviate from her plan.
The "Darcy" in this story is an Asian-American actor (yay even more rep) with baggage to spare, but the love for his little sis translates in this retelling too - something I loved about the original. The author nailed the angsty mood of a man who thinks he's above it all.. but through the multiple POVs, you can't help but fall in love with the guy.
The "Bingley" is still an absolute sweetie pie, his and "Jane's" behind the scenes love story is precious and the force that drives "Lizzie" and "Darcy" together.
more later, 'gator..

Very boring not very queer. Also, I think she called the Metro or Amtrak the "Subway" and I still don't know what she meant.
Another Pride and Prejudice spin-off? This one's set in Bennet House, a dormitory on the campus of Longbourn University, which any astute reader can eventually figure out is a fictitious school that's part of the five-college system in Western Massachusetts (six-college system? Whatever. Smith and Amherst both get mentions, so.). EJ is a Resident Advisor and she has a trans woman friend Jamie and a younger friend whose name I can't remember and EJ is basically Lizzy and Jamie is basically Jane. This is a fresh, fun take on a classic.
A pride and prejudice retelling but instead of biological sisters, found family, and make it diverse, with modern women, and add a touch of STEM and celebrity gossip. Honestly if I’m going with motion it’s a P&P retelling I think there were two Mr. Wickhams lol.
The vibes: Pride & Prejudice meets Grown-ish.

I absolutely loved this rendition of Pride and Prejudice story! I loved he fact that everyone is here lovely and flawed and amazing. I think the major plot-lines in the main story were also modernized and replaced well in this version. I am in love with the characters. I want a little bit more of Tessa though in another story, if the author would like to. Like outside of being the Bennet Women. I would love to read more of Tessa and about her, even though it seems that it is a standalone book.
