I actually started this book because I'd seen clips of the 3rd book on tiktok and thought I would start at the very beginning.

This is one of my favourite mafia romance books to date. I have read quite a few and it's always the same predicibile story line. Usually the heroine is captured because she's too stubborn and she goes agaisnt his wishes. This was a refreshing change and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

THEN talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. There I was smugly thinking "oh happy ever after how sweet" then they get the call that literally made me gasp.

Replay wonderful wrotong, loved the way characters are built up. By the end of the book you are intregued into the other siblings just as much as you are for the main pair.

I love the name Rayne, but this doesn’t excuse his behaviour. This man disgusts me af.

Billionaire Mafia Prince

Bad things happen to good people. A billionaire mafia prince is there to make it all better.

From the moment Rayne sees Emerson, she is his. He supports her work at her family’s youth center in Chicago (monetarily and influentially) and all he wants is… well… everything.

I appreciate that Emerson has the rational reaction to Rayne’s possessive rhetoric at first (This is crazy! I should NOT allow this!); like me with every romance book ever, though, Emerson succumbs to the MMC’s possessive, protective self and holy GOD was it hot.
fast-paced
Strong character development: No
