This book took awhile to give us a plot and more backstory. Usually in this genre you’re flooded with world building and backstory. For this story I wish we had MORE backstory and world building to start because the two main character’s dynamics didn’t make sense for half the book. And I’m still trying to not get a creep vibe because the age difference isn’t really explained, so it just feels a odd and uncomfortable.

I flew through the last 40% of the book and already checked out book 2. There’s a lot of potential in this series.
