I've never felt so many emotions all at once when I finished this oh my god

This book definitely has got me out of my year long reading slump and I couldn't be happier I chose this one, I dont think I've ever been this invested before

DNF //

I’m staring blank faced into a camera right now about to let out the biggest sigh known to mankind. Guys….what are we even talking about???

I’ll give it to you guys that this isn’t even close to the worst thing I have ever read but babes...gotta be honest with yall…it’s not THAT far off. The amount of times I had to drop my kindle to roll my eyes at my ceiling from the sheer boredom, frustration and absolute confusion over THIS being such a beloved book. Not even a singular second into the book I am getting told how weak, and fragile and small and tiny and frail and how a tiny little gust of wind is going to blow Miss Violet away into the sky.

ANNNNd – there is almost nothing that annoys me more in a book than just being dropped right into the middle of something at the start of the book. The /months/ of training Violet had to go through, her desire to be a scribe, etc are all told to us but none of it is actually shown to us. How am I supposed to empathize or even begin to care when the only thing I am consistently being told is how she is such a tiny, little, weak, short, small girl with the silliest sense of humor??? And, god, can’t forget how much she likes big, strong, tall, huge, muscular men. No thaaaaaanks.

Sorry guys – I’ll see my way out <3

OK, OK, I GET IT!

I've been putting off reading this for so long because of 'the internet'. I honestly thought it might be a DNF, but fuck, I loved every second of it.

I love fantasy about dragons. Eragon is probably my all time favourite series. On the other hand, I do not enjoy much romance, I find it very cringe and exhausting. So going into Fourth Wing, which I always see spoken about as a romantasy, I really didn't know how I was going to find it.

I was hooked from the first page!

The book only gets really romance heavy for 2 or 3 chapters. And although the word 'clit' is used in them 2 or 3 chapters approximately 7000 times, I still managed to get through it without it taking away from the rest of the book.

I'm shocked that people say that Fourth Wing is poorly written. I thought it was well written, with interesting characters and plot, great pacing and page turning intrigue. There were parts where I genuinely had goosebumps.

AND THAT ENDING! I had to go straight into Iron Flame and The Empyrean is being added to my favourite series of all time.

If you've been putting off Fourth Wing because of the hype this is your sign to finally give in - it's worth the hype I promise!

Voy a intentar hacer una reseña dando los mínimos detalles posibles para que podáis leerlo sin saber que ocurre.

He disfrutado tanto de este libro. Hacía mucho que no leía un libro de fantasía sin saber exactamente de que iba.
